Simplicity is the best gameplay.

Gameplay has a bit of a learning curve, but once you master it, the game actually becomes rather fun. This game has a limited pool of resources to pick up, but are rather plentiful if you are careful with conserving them. Graphics are pretty good, even if it is indie. The story is not anything to write home about and is rather simplistic, but I didn't mind that element as the others hold it up pretty good. All in all, I had/am having a good time with this game.

It's fine

Level based open area's to explore, crafting system, shops, but also a tad hard and sometimes, and controls are a bit slow and clunky. For the price, it's fine, you can do alot worse.

Sometimes frustrating, but pretty good.

My playtime is 10 hours. Graphics OK, sometimes fps drops down with many enemies. (May be my hardware...) Music OK. Story OK. There isn't much of it... This has a strange difficulty curve. At the start, just run through everything, until you reach a tower with a guy. At the very end, I just went for one pod to destroy and died. Repeat until you're done. You can continue to play the game after the final cutscene. (But I guess you would have found most of the notes by now. I have only 2 missing. Maybe achievement hunt then?) Would be nice to have more weapons like a nuke launcher. :P The AKM is fast but does little damage, the other two take a long time to load. NOTE: destroy the big orange blobs ASAP, otherwise the zombies respawn forever.

controls not for me

The game actually runs on Win7. The graphics is good for this kind, I can clearly see everything. My problem is the controls. You move around with WASD. You face in the direction of the last movement. You shoot in that direction as well. Which gives you 8 possible directions to shoot at (so every 45 degrees). But the zombies may come at you from any angle. Well that is, they will use same angles, but may approach you in a line parallel to your view direction. Also they will quickly move around you, and you can't easily turn to follow them, because there is no key for turning without moving. The mouse doesn't do anything for movement or turning! You need the mouse key to shoot or aim but that's it. (By that logic they could have made a keyboard button shoot and then you don't need a mouse at all). Now either make two extra keys for turning without moving (as in many such games of old), or enable mouse look/turn/aim (as is in even more games of old and new). Oh and you can't even remap the keys. Definitely won't go on playing with it. At least it was just a few bucks.

understanding the mechanics of the game

If you played this game and find hard from the start , welcome to the club, firstime i played the character died so many times, the secret is stealth save ammo till you get to the first tower after that it will be easy, after you rescue the police you can now craft items and upgrade the filter mask and bio suite
