The game itself is not the best of the best. The fights are nice, if somewhat predictable, yet they are hard to execute. But the... STYYYYLE is off the charts with this one. If you like synth music, you should simply get it for the sound alone. The visual design and story are complementary to the whole STYYYYLE of this game. Overall, it's 4/5 and gets bonus points because I do love it's soundtrack and it has been a constant guest on my playlist for a while.

... nor bullet hell games. But this one has everything right and tight. Input is precise (use a game pad for best results!), waste no time on boring stretches, fast, high-adrenaline, one of the best soundtracks I've ever heard in a game, great visual style, gameplay is varied, learn new strategies for each enemy, get in the rhythm, be punished, punish back, easy to learn, hard to master, always fair, it's your fault if you fail. Now, get a breather. Seriously, you will need a breather after this game. Sadly, I purchased this on some other platform. Will purchase DRM-free if the price is right. Would love to see Linux support.

This game will grind you into a paste and look great doing it. All the bosses feel great to fight. Every time you fail it's your fault; not the the game cheating. Everything is intense and beautiful. The only thing that gets me a bit irritated is when a boss decides to play hide and seek on a big open battlefield (you'll know which one) but otherwise it's a solid game that demands quick reflexes and determination. Not recommended for people with high blood pressure or heart problems.

An unpasteurized shot of sound to eyeball techno flavour. Wastes no time. Get in the rhythm and beat the jailer. Important to keep in mind: actions happen upon release of the button, not upon pressing it, because you can charge them; there's no input lag.
