Renata's parents are world-renown explorers, archeologists and inventors that travel all over the world uncovering the secrets of the past, bringing her with them in their expeditions. However, in their latest adventure, they decide to leave her at the base camp - the Beelzebub ruins are said to be too dangerous!

For three whole days she waits, her pride hurt and bored out of her mind, until she realized: if they haven't returned yet, something must have happened to them! In a hurry she grabs her parents' last invention, the Frogun, and heads to the ruins to rescue them, and prove that she's as capable as them!

Frogun is old-school bliss. This is a 3D platformer that doesn't just capture the feel of a PS1 classic in one area, it captures the magic in every part of the package. From vivid low-poly art to simple yet satisfying gameplay, it's a must-play for anyone itching to experience another classic 3D adventure.

There are a ton of great reasons to get into Frogun. It’s got a nice level of challenge, charm for days, a fun and breezy trophy/achievement list, a silly but compelling hook and unlockable hats! I wasn’t entirely in love with all of the half-dozen boss fights with a lot of them feeling a bit safe, but as a whole this is a great little package that even includes a local multiplayer “duel” mode. If a game that has you play as an abandoned child that gets around by pulling the trigger on a taxidermy-Kermit-head-turned-projectile-weapon sounds up your alley, definitely give this one a go.

Frogun is a heartfelt addition to the wider Platformer genre, bringing some fun new ideas and charm to the table. It's far from a perfect game though, and its flaws hold it back from being an amazing experience.

my first review on here!

when i first saw this game come out on gog i thought to myself this looks pretty good! and then i decided to buy this for 12 dollars on sale then when i did and started playing it i ended up liking it cuz its pretty fun and relaxing and simple even though you die alot which is okay cuz i have auto save in the game which is awesome! but. this review might be subject to change after i finish the game. but tbh! i really like cute and adorable things and its one of the reasons why i like this! you basically for the details you have the little girl with the frog hat and the gun which is the frogun is why this game is titled that, is cuz she has parents who are archaeologists and a dad who is a inventor and you are the little girl who goes on her adventure through this little platformer things that you collect all the coins and the blue diamonds and ect and you climb and your frogun to glide your way across and through this level to get to the next level! so? thats my review for yall who wanna know the experienceof this game for today! :)

Gets repetitive very quickly

The art style of this game drew me in. It plays nicely, and looks pretty. I have finished 3 worlds (not sure how many there are, but I believe I'm pretty far) and I'm starting to try and blow through the levels to see if there's something new at the end. I think the main thing here is that you don't get any new abilities. You will be doing basically the same actions at the same speeds throughout the game. There are a few new enemy types along the way but they aren't different enough from the earlier ones to be interesting. The music is also fairly generic/uninteresting. If you do get this, I recommend going in with the expectation of: I'm supporting an indie dev that made a cute game and I will have fun for awhile.

Old School and Excellent

Excellent retro style game. Very chill except when you just can't reach that secret area. Great mechanics and art style. You can play for 2 hours or 10 if you want to collect everything.
