Nice story but broken and not updated...
Short verison: Should be early access, come back in a year or two and see if it works. Currently two updates missing on GOG. Long version: The demo for this game was my second favorite of over a dozen I tried at the time, even though I haven't been that into adventure games lately. Having played a few hours (I'd guess halfway, although possibly more looking at other reviews elsewhere) I would say it is one of the best written games I have played recently and I appreciate the intent behind various cinematic aspects of the game. Unfortunately, the game is quite broken and I am quitting in frustration after the second time basic movement did not work correctly. It is possible that reloading from the last save or some other trick will get me past where I am currently stuck, but it is not just a few rare issues. Almost every aspect of the game has frustrating technical issues that ruin what should be a relaxing philosophical story, from minor issues like a dog continuously walking into a car's bumper during a scene to frequent video stuttering (not low framerate but pauses). This is with an R9 390 GPU (8GB), i5-6600 CPU, and 16GB system memory (Windows) that should be more than adequate. Additionally, as of this writing the last update available here is from April while Steam shows updates in May and June as well. One of these sounds like it fixed the first movement issue I encountered. A few games I recommend: RiME, Little Bug, A Short Hike, My Brother Rabbit, Botanicula (anything from Amanita), Trails in the Sky (anything from Falcom), Costume Quest.
