For all new Dying Light players: the original game and The Following expansion are great and well worth your time and money. Cuisine and Cargo at least fit within the framework of the original game and add a few more things to do. Bozak Horde and Hellraid are standalone, competitive addons made by some weird bro faction within Techland: they add things to do, sure, but are completely at odds with the entire premise of the game. And the skins are largely hit and miss. Some are kinda neat, but most are just shameless cash grabs to score a few more bucks out of a 6 year old game. If you want to get into some great parkour/crafting/zombie slaying action with 4 player LAN support, by all means get the original game and The Following. And if this Platinum Edition is still on sale for 25 bucks, then, yeah, that's actual value for your money. But, please, don't waste $100 on a bundle of DLCs that only has 3 good things in it. That would make lots of kittens sad. And to existing Dying Light players: Dying Light 2 is still coming out, right? ... Right?

NO MULTIPLAYER or COOP WITH Steam

Should be noted that there is No cross-play with Steam. Multiplayer and Coop are GOG ONLY. The most helpful review on the base game states this. Previous to this edition there was a disclaimer on the page stating this. If this changes i will gladly give this more stars. Until then 1 star it is. Also the hellraid DLC is pretty much trash. some of the skins are cool abut not worth 100 dollars. Only buy on Sale. As others have said, The base game and the Following are great and well worth the money.

Platinum are added under the Enhanced

Guys, its a little confusing because its not explained in the description but when you purchase the 'platinum edition' the additional DLC gets added to the "Dying Light: The Following – Enhanced Edition", I checked by smartphone, by desktop web browser, and by GOG Galaxy on the desktop and its there. If you do a search for your games in your library you should only see the thumbnail 'Dying Light: The Following – Enhanced Edition', there wont be a 'platinum edition' thumbnail so relax, anyways click on the Enhanced Edition thumbnail, go to extras, scoll down and you should see the additional platinum DLC's listed, for example:5th anniversary, Hellraid, Retrowave, Viking, Godfather. If its not there double check your email and make sure you got a thank you receipt for the platinum edition, if you got that receipt then you should be good, just maybe wait for their computer systems to update your library and check back 'The Following' day, pun intended, hope that helps, God Bless all of you and Good NIght, Good Luck!

Bells/whistles, no upgrade, no Dockets

This edition is definitely the choice to buy for new game buyers, just because no other option. But that's all. As for those who bought Enhanced Edition from GOG, Techland still does not have to offer anything. ** Just Bells and whistles: No new content ** From Enhanced Edition this one differs with skins (cute, but no gameplay change). ** No upgrade from Enhanced Edition ** Intention to make some bucks from game without developing practically anything (just new skins) is understandable. But to make money not offering upgrade (free or paid) and, instead, pushing full re-buy for those who supported game in past - it's just showing no respect to previous buyers. ** No Dockets service or equivalent ** GOG is not supported with Techland's Docket service, which adds new weapons (DO gameplay change a bit) & skins for codes spread in media. Not really good way to show they support GOG's way of distribution. As a final word. No offense, Techland, you make games I like sometimes, but I don't like you.

Maybe wait for sales, but just get this

This game deserve all the money spent on it. Most DLCs are just added weapons or shirts, but with this version you'll have a complete package, including the Hellraid, that is a cool addition for the ones who likes fighting. It is both a "story driven" game, and a "do what you want" open world game. "The Following" is as long as the main game and with a different kind of play because the added car is almost always needed to go around. There are a lot of different kind of "games" included in the main game and in the DLCs: running challenges, drive challenges, fighting challenges, etc... Parkour and fighting are really well made and it is a pleasure to run around the map even just for exploration. Almost every kind of weapon is present, from hand to hand, to melee, to guns, to explosive things, etc...
