From start to finish this game had me gripped.
While the story and gameplay is on point it's not completely flawless. There are a couple of rare moments where game design gets you killed because your character doesn't seem to be able to 'superman' in zero gravity. For the most part this is no problem, it's just one specific deadly puzzle that it becomes frustratingly apparent. Fortunately once you're past this you'll not have to deal with it again as the game doesn't tend to repeat puzzles.
There's clear influences from Dead Space in the level design, especially in the last level. There are very few enemies and they require stealth but most of the time you're on your own trying to find a way through the moon base. The lack of people is a little odd when you start on Earth but it's fine when you get in space as it adds to the feeling of isolation. Other than that there's pretty much no replay value beyond picking up achievements.
I played this at release and it was a great game overall.
Only two problems at the moment:
1) no rebindable keys on pc version.
This is hugely disconcerting to start since most of us expect this as a basic part of any game.
If you can accept the irksome button layout, you'll get drawn in by the whole game.
2) There are a few minigames that can be irritating; this is mitigated by the fact that you NEVER repeat a puzzle.
The one big problem in this area is the last minigame of the game, which is nigh impossible to beat at this time.
I've been playing games all my life and I still had to repeat it over and over and over.... It is currently up to chance weather you can get past it at all.
I did beat it in the end and the devs have seen the many comments to this effect on steam and have promised to look into it, so perhaps by the time you even read this, they'll have made it vastly easier.
Despite the above, I still heartily endorse trying this out if you like a great story!
Runs great, looks great, love space and the fact you launch from Earth to a space station, and then get on an elevator down to the moon, and then ride a lunar exploration vehicle is amazing. I just want more like this, keep it coming.
To keep it short: atmosphere (graphics+OST), narrative, story, voice acting, extras (little objects or recording that add to the story but they're not necessary to proceed in the game), difficulty level... Everything is excellent. Like living in a future earth/space adventure.
On the technical side, I found this game running smoother on a GTX 950 than an AMD RX 480 which is kinda strange, or just the game isn't optimized for AMD cards...
