An old style fresh in 2022
I played DD for the first time back in 2001 and fell in love almost instantly, but the original being a budget game even in 2001 did not age that well in the technical aspect, however, the main formula, being very similar to that of the original Ghost Recon, is something that feels most fresh in current gaming where open worlds took over. The graphics, control, and overall flow of gameplay is vastly improved over the original, but keeping the soul intact. The combat is brutal and the enemy ruthless, you need to plan ahead and engage very carefully, run and gun tactics will only end in tragedy Each squadmate has unique attributes that determines their effectiveness is certain areas of combat and fighting styles, also, you can give orders individually to any squadmate, something that is not present in current gaming. So far no bugs have been encountered but the performance can be better. Overall is a great remake, if you liked the original give this one a go. Finally i must add that im' totally down for a remake on the second DD or even a sequel.
