Service for the Fans
There are few things to clear first before continuing with my review. First of all, this is aimed at the fans of the franchise. If you like Date A Live then this VN will definitely be a must buy; otherwise this one will probably not bring you much enjoyment. In that sense this VN is the very definition of fan service. This leads to point number two that I want to make.. If you're here for H-scenes then this product is not for you. While there's a decent ammount of ecchi content, it never verges into 18+. Date A Live is NOT a hentai franchise. Do not go looking around for an 18+ patch because there is none to be found anywhere. That being said let's talk a bit about the VN itself. The basic structure for each chapter is that there is a main route but you can at different points freely choose which girl you wish to date. Use a walkthrough. The order of the chapters in the main menu is wrong. Here is the order you should play in: 1) Rinne Utopia - Takes place between Season 1 and 2 of the anime. 2) Arusu Install - Takes place between Season 2 and 3 of the anime. 3) Rio Reincarnation - Takes place again between Season 2 and 3 of the anime and continues from where Arusu Install left off. GOG's review feature sucks so my space is limited; as such I can't talk too much in depth here. Suffice to say each chapter offers a good mix of humour, feels, and lewds. They also have new VN-only girls you can date. I liked all of them, perhaps even more than the original ones! RU has the most romantic development with the girls. AI is more slice of life and ramps up the ecchi. RR brings in the most feels as it concludes the trilogy. The artwork is beautiful and improves with each chapter. The CGs are wallpaper material! The sprites are beautifully drawn and well animated which brings the characters to life. VA is 10/10. Music good. If you don't know whether to buy this then watch the anime first and if you like the characters then buy this. 100% completion took me 70 hours.
