Developed from the United States Marine Corps training simulator (Close Combat: Marines), Close Combat - Modern Tactics allows you take command of modern US forces and various opposition forces in over 25 scenarios.
Engage in combat with up to 5 players per side and participate in intense head to head battles using Modern Era weaponry and equipment on gorgeous hand-drawn maps measuring from 1km square to giant 4km x 1km maps.
Fight on hypothetical battlefields ranging in style from backwoods America to the streets of Iraq and the former Soviet republics. Deal with everything the enemy can throw at you in a series of immersive, action-packed engagements that will test your tactical abilities!
Air and artillery support are on-call, but the final objective can only be secured by Close Combat.
A scenario editor is also included, making it easy to set up your own battles with modern opposing forces.

2/5 - don't get me wrong it's an "Ok" game, but you can expect much more from this series. Especially for this price. There is no campaign, you can only play scenarios (and create them in the editor). A big step back from the traditional II WW series. Also there are some major problems with squadron pathfinding when it comes to moving in and out from buildings - they don't act like soldiers, they act like bunch of blind, panic stricken chickens. They move back and forth with absolutely no sense. Graphic is even worse than old CC games (I mean - how?!). As a big fan of Close Combat I'm disappointed with this game - and I would be pretty furious if I'd have to pay the full price (bought it at -70-75% - wait for such discount or don't bother with it).
Myself and other experience a crash at the end of every battle making any consecutive play impossible. The game is great and I love it, however, only but it if you are ok only doign 1 battle at a time with no progression or carryover between battles.
The realisme, that these games are famed for, is somewhat lacking. If you tell a fire team to let hell opon the enemy, well, they kinda, just like, "nah.. "I rather not.." and they deside to sit tight.. Sims 2 is more tactical than this!
In CC5, they don't, in CC5 they act like trained soldiers, and fight like it, so you can fight in a proper tactical battle.. unlike this game.
