Amazing horror game

I gotta say, I had high expecations for the game after playing the demo for more than 20 times, and they were difinitely met. Movement feels amazing, with the noodly appendages grasping for enemies and areas to latch upon. Getting bigger only makes it more fun, since you start to get sloppy due to the sheer size of this monstrosity. It's fun all the way. Every new thing you discover in the game gives you an even bigger push for wanting to finish. It's a great mix of action and puzzle solving sometimes. I believe the only criticism I have is that the game sorely needs a map system. It functions very much like a Metroidvania, discovering new areas, access points and abilities that open these areas, but you're left to either guess or memorize every entrance and teleport point of the entire game. But still, an easy 5 stars! I hope the developer creates more games like these, they're the best fun I had in a long time!

Enjoyed it, hopefully more to come in the future.

Clocking in under 4 hours with 100% achievements passively obtained, the game is a bit on the short side. The detail and density of the game's content is really nice. Metroidvania in nature, the game becomes a bit more difficult than needed, and I would avoid playing it in multiple play sessions with days apart. The reason for this is because there is no map. For people with memory issues, I'd avoid it simply due to this fact. It becomes quite labyrinthine especially when you decide to backtrack a bit. The production value of the game is insanely good. Pretty much top 5 ever 2D pixelized games ever in terms of this. The animation work on the main monster is just unbelievable, and I would've thought this impossible if you asked me a few years back. Seriously worth getting the game just on this merit alone. The soundtrack is fitting and perfectly executed as well, likewise with ambience perfectly done, and not in the bad way of just straight horror music or something to become annoying or overblown, it's just perfect. If the devs are reading this, good job with the level designs, good just with the solid programming with no experienced bugs at all, and to the artists and sound designers - this is just legendary. A great premise I feel could be expanded on insanely well from a conceptual level. I hope the groundwork for the tech has been dealt with (I know for a fact getting this game to look this good wasn't easy, with lighting and animations in 2D being a nightmare and a ton of work). With that, hopefully an expansion or squeal would be awesome. Haven't felt this powerful and evil since playing Prototype 1/2 on the PS3. A disembodied beast? This is just begging for so many ideas in the future to expand upon. And hopefully a longer adventure that would have a map of sorts.

A fun, albeit brief reverse horror

I cleared the game in 8 hours, the day it came out. So I can safely say I enjoyed it, once I figured out how to use the various abilities and how to be a properly sneaky-stabby gibbering horror. My one and only real complaint is the lack of a map system, as you'll end up backtracking a fair amount, and I probably spent around an hour lost, looking desperately for the one wall section I could break through. Much like Metroid, you'll find a door/wall/plug thing that you can't pass through early on, and know that you SHOULD remember where it is so that you can double back. I was a little sleep deprived, and that doubling back was honestly a little frustrating, going through corridor after corridor of my old grisly slaughters looking for the button or plug I needed to rip out to continue the experience. If you need a few hours of visceral, strategy requiring monster action to scratch that itch, it's worth the price of a movie ticket and soda.

Fun game

Been playing it since I woke up its pretty fun If you are looking for the Im the terrible monster that can do anything this will not be the monster experience for you, if you make a mistake or try to face roll everything you will have a bad time, you to have to sneak around and time your take downs which adds a nice layer to game, the puzzles are not to hard but honestly I ok with it. One problem I had with the game which is why I'm not giving it a full score is that certain mechanics are not explained well or can be easily missed in the explanation which can leave you stuck until you figure them out.

Experience being a monster

A great 2D game with great graphics and many gory horror details. I played the demo several times and really like the mechanics of this game. With the full game they have made it a bit more challenging in some ways and added even more abilities you can collect and use in interesting horrific ways. I have played through the first 5 or so levels now and so far it does not disappoint.
