Boxville DEMO is available here

Boxville is 2-in-1: an animated film and a puzzle game.

Boxville is an adventure puzzle game about speechless cans living in the city of boxes and drawing doodles on cardboards to tell the stories.
Boxville is good for playing alone to dive into the atmosphere and challenge your brain with sophisticated logic puzzles and riddles, or playing with a friend or family to share unique audio-visual experiences and solve the puzzles together.
Made in Ukraine.

Design
The core idea of the game is that it’s not just a game - but also an animated film that you can watch and play at the same time.
We designed Boxville’s gameplay with the purpose of taking away your anxiety and stress. You can explore and observe the world without rushing and pressure.
The game is full of environmental quests and logical puzzles that we have carefully picked from among hundreds of options.

Story
Boxville is a city of boxes populated with old cans. They live quiet and happy lives with their everyday routines and habits. But one day, unexplained earthquakes disturbed their idyll...
Blue Can (our hero) lost his best friend because of that. He started his search but it is not so easy to move through the city after earthquakes. He has to find a way to move forward, return the friend back home and discover the real reason for all those earthquakes. There are many adventures, new friends and it’s not only friends that are waiting for him on the way.
He has to be curious, inventive, careful, and to help others, to reach his goal.

What you can expect to see and hear in Boxville:
- Hand-drawn graphics — all backgrounds and characters are carefully drawn by our artists.
- Every animation and sound is created especially for each interaction.
- Unique music track was created for every scene to accomplish the atmosphere of the game.
- Tens of logical puzzles and mini-games are tightly incorporated into the story of the game.
- There are no words in the game — all characters communicate via cartoony speechbubbles.

Beware the ⭐ in the menu!

I'd give this game a 3.5/5 but since I cannot, I'll round it up to a 4. I've played "Machinarium", which to me, is a solid 5+/5 and I can't help but consider this game as an imitation (or maybe it's a tribute?). Anyway, the graphics are beautiful and the puzzles are fairly simple. What I would like the game to improve on is: - audio: maybe add some more background music but this is just personal preference. - game length: the game is short and took me less than two hours to complete. Maybe it could be longer by adding some background stories for the characters or add some more puzzles. - THE STAR IN THE MENU: I don't know why would a "Delete all progress" menu item have a star icon. In hindsight, the progress bar with an X should have made it clear to me what was going to happen but maybe I'm just dumb. So yeah, I deleted about an hour of gameplay because I didn't understand what the menu was so I had to start from scratch. Maybe a trash can would be a better icon or something else, but definitely not a star! Overall it's a nice game but "Machinarium" is better. Maybe enough people will buy this game so that the devs can make a better sequel (which I would try).

Cute little Point and Click Adventure

Boxville is a very cute little game. If you like Point and Click Adventures, the likes of Machinarium or such, you have to play this game. I have just startet the game though (30 minutes or so), but it caught me right from the get go. The art is beauteful, and very cute. It could have come alive right out of my own imagination. A BIG THANK'EE TO THE DEVELOPERS !! Must buy for every P n'C Fan

I mean what can you say..

This is an adorable little point and click adventure. If you are experienced in the genre, this is a one sitting adventure, should'nt take more than 3 hours. The puzzles are simple, put circle in circle hole\put square in square hole sort of offerings, nothing much. The elephant in the room, is this is leaning heavily on the Machinarium atmosphere, artistic style, and approach. It always drove me crazy Machinarium never made a sequal, so I'm not too mad at this void being filled. If you are hoping for that Machinarium difficulty and truly magical experience, you will be a bit dissapointed. But for a point and click fix, with some truly adorable characters, go for it! Also to anyone new to the genre, this is about as soft of a landing as your gonna find. Honestly I'd give this 3.5, as it could have developed some of the characters a bit more, and pushed even further past the Machinarium template, instead of living safely inside of it. But I am all for small groups of developers putting out charming little point and click games, and will happy put my dollars behind them in support.

I'd say 3,5, but 4 it is

It's a fun game. Artwork is pretty and unconventional and I thought the idea of cans living in a world of boxes was somewhat unique. The puzzles aren't that hard, but some of them will need you to get the ol' noggin' joggin'. As always, nothing is perfect, and the main critique I'd give this one would be that it's really short. It took me about three hours to play through and mind you, I was doing this on a Saturday night, drinking beer. The world is small, as you'd expect from a game that is this short. If it would've only been twice as long it would've been great value for money, but now it falls a bit short of it. But all in all, it's a good game from a small company with a handful of devs. If you get it on sale for, say, 6-7 EUR, I'd definitely grab it. Otherwise, for the full price, I'd only recommend it if you were a true fan of point-and-click games.

Wholesome and short experience

A very short and sweet point and click. The artstyle and music are beautiful. The game's a mix of the usual point and click use items on objects combined with some light puzzles. The solutions are fairly logical and make sense with only one being a bit of a head scratcher. Overall, it's just a very wholesome experience.
