Army Men RTS

It is not a complicated RTS. Mostly you get away with just spamming units but its fun either way, esp with the squad lingo and the sheer stupidness of a lot of green plastic soldiers having a war. Highly recommended either way, esp for this pretty awesome price.

I have this game on both PC and PS2 and I still haven't grown tired of firing either of them up from time to time, because it's like re-living a mispent childhood as you battle tan forces in various locations around a house. It's an RTS game that you'll easily get into, with mixed and varied missions to keep you hooked. It won't be long before you're launching your troops into action to turn the enemy into blobs of plastic, which you can then harvest to rebuild your own forces. So, if you're the type that has fond memories of playing with toy soldiers on the living room carpet, or in the imagined jungle of your garden, then this is the game for you!

Army Men RTS (Real time strategy) is a game in the Army Men series of games which focuses on controlling soldier's in an isometric view (top-down) you build structures which in alot of cases resemble house hold objects, for example - your resource collection building is a blender. You play as the green army men soliders as you usually would in the Army Men games, building soliders and vehicles and taking orders from Sarge to charge on through the garden and household nearby taking back territory from the enemy. The game has a great sense of humor, it doesn't take itself too seriously and is just generally fun to play. The game plays very well and I have not noticed any bugs or glitches.

Army Men RTS is either one of the easiest or the lamest real-time strategy games you will ever play. Either way, I enjoyed it immensely. As a fan of Army Men, it was such a treat to be playing a game in this genre featuring Sarge, Riff, Scorch, Hoover, Thick, and Vikki. Unlike other Army Men games that's brutally difficult with lack of checkpoints, RTS is very forgiving. Sure, it gets more challenging in later levels but overall, RTS is a very easy game to play. The controls may not be ideal for experts as it's too simplistic but again, great for beginners. Several complains I have is the missed opportunity to play as the Tan Army. There are only 15 levels and you can only as the Green Army. The lack of the series' main antagonist General Plastro is also disappointing. Instead, you have this forgettable main villain that does nothing and once you've beaten the game, you get a truly unsatisfying ending. Such a bummer! Regardless, I highly recommend Army Men RTS to anyone who likes the genre.
