The combat of Stories from the Outbreak is heavily strategic, allowing customization in team composition and character progression. The game features dozens of trinkets that provide passive bonuses following the best roguelike design practices. Between combats, you must make decisions about traversing the landscape, and written events force you to navigate the moral complexities of surviving in a hostile environment.
