Short
not bad as such but very short, and easy at least on normal. i died once and on the second try i completed the game. big that´s it? feeling. But it´s not really a bad game as such.

Gameplay not good
While the art style is nice, the gameplay is somehow not good. I cant really pinpoint the issue but i played for ~2 hours and then just quit.

Really good game, a bit annoying how you are transported back to the beginning upon death.

Was good... for a while....
Was really enjoying this, and might have become a background time filler game. However the moment I was looking to be very likely to finish the game, last level, full to near full health, and a ton of mana in reserve. Suddenly a level up came up and when I went to click on my choice the game wouldn't take it. Selected both options, pushed every button in front of me, nothing would make it move. Killed my game on the last level. To hell with this buggy mess. I'll forgive weird item and door glitches, but the moment you bug the game to take a win away from me, it's over I'm through with this. I have better games to spend my time on, fix this garbage or get it off here and steam, and no, if it takes less than 10 years for you game to bug out this badly, then I'm not going to risk buying your next garbage sequel.

Pretty terrible overall
Ziggurat crashed my PC 4 times before i figured i'd try to run it in 640x480 compatibility mode. I've never had this problem with anything on GOG and only with a few games on Steam. It still had problems in the Settings menu and refused to let me change the resolution. It wasn't worth the effort, the game is really bad. If you can't be bothered to create something balanced and build actual maps you just call it a "retro roguelike" and have an algorithm generate maps for you. It's basically Doom or Quake, but without the effort that went into it. If you think grinding is a feature you shouldn't be making games.
