i love it because the original game is already a masterpiece itself. not 5 stars because it still has annoying bugs

A true remake
This is an action adventure game, with some elements of stealth, made 20 years ago. Level design has aged, not in a bad way, but modern games offer more variety or approach, most notably around stealth, which sometimes is a pain. Scripted NPCs do not stand against modern AI NPCs, but the game was and is about its story first and foremost. The remake adds more fluid movements, a better FPS experience, improved graphics and compatibility with recent hardware. I had no bugs whatsoever. It is worth to experience early 2000 game design. It is an honest true remake, with the same qualities and shortcomings of the first one from.

I tried
I really wanted to like this game. I didn't encounter any bugs. And the graphics are unique and interesting. But what ended up ruining this game for me was the "checkpoint" save system conbined with the game's un-skippable cutscenes. Every time after I had to turn off the PC in the middle of a level, or after I made a crucial mistake during the mission, I would have to re-watch repeats of the same unskippable cutscenes and conversational dialogue again. That quickly became annoying. Especialy in the beginning of the game where I'm just trying to get used to the control and the game mechanics.
