I am really surprised about 4 or 5 stars review. Have you ever played XCOM: Ufo Defense? Why limiting a squad to 4 members initially? Why can't I wear a jacket and carry a medikit, a grenade and and gun optics at the same time? We are fighting aliens! Why reloading at the begin of turn takes 2 actions points but if I move then reload it takes 1? Why can't I build a base wherever I want? Why can't I twist the geoscape? I finished XCOM on superhuman level but I never experimented all those misses with a 75% aim! Sometimes alien shot thru obstacoles not destroyable but when I try the same there is no line. I'm really making an effort to continue playing this game.

MAD about the game first/foremost, and about the reviews I read getting downvoted because of explaining what makes this version bad. trusteft gave a superb review of the actual game (giving it a generous 4 stars) and was downvoted because it was negative? First game I've seen on GoG get that treatment and makes me suspect something fishy. Conspiracy theories aside, This game isn't XCOM: Enemy Unkown. That is what I thought I was buying. I was sorely mistaken. I bought XCOM: Enemy Unknown Complete BS. This re-imagining of the game dumbs down many options that made the original such a great game. Read the reviews that got downvoted to see many examples. The opening hour of the game, where in the normal game you could place how your facility goes, it doesn't work the same, with you being force fed how to do it. I kept thinking, this introduction part is sure lasting a long time. Basically the entire game you are in a tutorial with them holding your hand and never given the freedom to manage like the original version. I can't give as good a review as some on here. I suggest before buying to read those and know they are not just blowing smoke. Do yourself a favor, and see if you can find the original and get it to working. This version gives XCOM: Enemy Unknown a bad name.

Welcome to RNG hell
Miss, miss, miss, miss, miss. Shake head in disbelief. Reload. Miss, miss, miss, hit!(yay), miss, miss! Become frustrated. Uninstall. I played the game years ago when it first came out. I may be wrong but I don't seem to rememebr missing that much at 71-73% back then. Was I more patient? Or the game was "patched" in a way to increase both "re-playability"? Shame about a briliant idea. Take away the horrid RNG and you have a true remake of the classic.
