A little unorthodox, but still fun
If you loved Worms 3D probably you gonna love this one as well. And for a budget price! Its not as good as the originals but it has its moments. Its still the good old original concept, but with a little twist. For me the fort building was a nice addition and enjoyed building siege weapons, etc Just google the demo and give it a try before buying :)

May be a good game if you have patience
I was so excited when I found a Worms game I hadn't heard of. Now I just wish it had remained that way. It could possibly be good, if you enjoy the tedious frustration of fighting a camera whilst trying to navigate around, but that isn't acceptable in a post-2000 game really. Lack of changeable mouse speed? Lack of targeting reticle causing you to fire a bazooka 2ft in front of you? Menu screen that intermittently freezes? All this and much more with Worms Forts. Or you could buy Worms 2 and not regret your purchase.

Challenging, but still quirky and fun
Once you build up a chain of structures, your defense is only as good as your weakest link, meaning you have to watch for small towers, once they get destroyed the rest will too along the chain. Longer missions that force you to wander away from your main base make this increasingly difficult to protect

Nice concepts, flawed execution
I really wanted to like this game; the weapons are really creative, the fort construction idea is cool and the overall design of the game world is great. The problem is the gameplay. The mouse movement is painful, some animations take too long to complete, the environment is static... But the worst thing is the battles are boring. While fort construction is a great idea, it does not translates well into the game. The beginning of every match is really slow, as you have to build your towers to get access to the weapons that really matter. I say "weapons that really matter" beacause the traditional Worms weapons are nearly useless if you aim to destruct the opponent's (and I don't see why you should play this over any Worms game if you're going for the good old worms vs. worms battles). Other thing that ruins the pace of the matches is the fact that it is not possible to destroy the environment and the starting positions for each team are far apart and there is lots of obstruction between than. I don't know if this siege setting just does not fit the style of Worms game or if the devs weren't capable of pulling it off. Maybe if the game was more well polished, I could recommend it for Worms fans, as a curiosity. But as it is, I don't see any reason to play it.

Great game
I love this game, and the only reason i put 4 stars is because i have had trouble getting the cinematics to work . Now I' am waiting for gog to release worms Armageddon i used to own this game but the disk broke and now i'm just trying other worms games until i find one as good as that, so please gog, Armageddon!
