There is more to it than it seems
This game has alot to offer. It's not just a clicker it's a full blown Tycoon. The game works fine for me aswell. No crashes or bugs what so ever.

A little gem.
What an absolutely enjoyable experience! This is a tycoon-ish indie business sim which manages to hit the right switches for me. Managing a tiny ganjiistan micronation - literally starting in your parents basement - and developing it into a giant sprawling weedpire is about as fun as it sounds. There are many small minigame-like elements to selecting, growing, optimising and selling your product in this game, but it never feels too mobile-gamey nor does it ever become a hassle - you can automate most things over time and spend your time doing what you like best. The storyline is actually fairly engaging, characters and dialogue better than expected and the scenarios are well planned and executed. My only heartache is the fact that there are not that many scenarios, and no real sand-box stage. Some very few of the storyline "missions" can feel contrived and pointless - why a mission to grow a specific strain and sell x amount of it, when I already have a better one doing fairly well - but overall way too few of those compared to fun ones to subtract any from the game. I'll finish up by mentioning the absolutely fantastic graphics and music. Exquisite, thematically well put together and awesome. The graphical look and feel - while not at all photorealistic - is just well designed. It all fits. It looks nice. And the "tactile" feedback from performing certain actions - you just feel that someone has spent time making everything nice. No glitches or errors (I have had one single CTD - which is way better than average games today). Laptop ran fairly hot - it takes a few resources but ran well. I wish there were more scenarios, and I wish there was a true sand box scenario - but these are not complaints, merely the same kind of regret one has after eating something fantastic. You just wish there was a bit more... For 15€ this is a perfectly priced and made snack you wish was a meal.

surprisingly entertaining, lots of bugs
I am about halfway through the second scenario and I was really surprised at how much I enjoy this game. I don't even smoke weed anymore and it is still a lot of fun. The game mechanics are more complex than you would expect. There is some clickfest stuff when harvesting but there are other elements too. The scenarios could be longer or maybe there could be more of them but that is to be expected for a $20 game. Maybe more will be available later. I agree with some of the other reviews that there are quite a few bugs. I wouldn't say it is unplayable but the game freezes quite often (make sure you save frequently). There are also a couple of annoying features such as being interrupted by dialogue which messes things up when I am trying to trim my plants. Not a bad game for the price.

And they said weed isn't addictive
Acording to GOG I have 842 hours in Weedcraft. I've done just about everything I can think of but I keep coming back to it as it is a good balance of laid back, take your time gaming with scope for you to do your own thing. If strategy/management is your preference buy this.

Proper informative review
Debunking: Completely functional unless you insist on 4K resolution which is set as default upon first start if your display offers. On 4k the text code is messed up, you need to switch resolution. Next the art-style is cartoon, deal with it or don't, but the game is serious and complex business tycoon with simple background story about two brothers meeting at dad's funeral, one being an economics graduate, the other weed geek, both deciding to start a business at father's house. The learning curve is very smooth and you always have a handy manual with tutorials including video guidance so there is no such thing as having no clue what to do and how. You start with small growing room growing the basic plants, learning step-by-step how everything works. Lights, soil, temperature, humidity, NPK values, then you'll get seeds of another strain, learn different strains having various effects, targeting various social groups at various places (vagrants, celebrities, artists, students, thugs, seniors, various medical groups like cancer, epilepsy and post-trauma veterans... and many others). There's competence to deal with by price, quality, range of products, and of course by direct communication. There's personal talking... with competitors, with police officers, with police chiefs and of course with employees. You talk about various subjects, learn who likes what topics etc. etc. though the talking is very simplified and not as complex as it may seem. Your employees may be assigned to numerous tasks including growing, selling, gathering info and dirt about any of the subject (including other employees) basically most tasks that you can do yourself but don't have time because you're becoming more and more busy by managing all this. Progressively you expand to other districts, other cities, handle smuggling, research optimal NPK values, temperature and humidity levels for various strains, cross-breed, fulfill quest orders... 4/5 + 1 star for finally covering this topic.
