Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate

Hi, has anyone got this to work on windows 10 yet, as i bought this game the other day, thinking that i could make it compatible by changing it to window 98 sp3. it runs but the picture is really rubbish?

still have the disc version lying around but 17 years is hard on a CD and poor windows compatibility has made it a pain to get running ever since win 98 SE maybe i'll actually get to finish this great game one day also 10 points to gryffindor for fixing the cultist laser crash

Golden time for all those who loved this game back then and all those who tried so hard to get this game to work on a modern pc. Great soundtrack, great game.

I had it working on my old windows 7 PC but when I upgraded, the computer came with windows 11. Doesnt work. Maybe it works on windows 10 now, but that doesnt help me anymore unfortunately. I've tried all the fixes, all the dll files etc. I tried running it in DOS and even that didnt work. I got as far as an error saying that the exe couldnt find the Chaos Gate CDROM, which is interesting. Weirdly, the mission editor works fine. All that being said, the game is fun enough when (if) you can actually get it to run. Its not perfect, but its a fun xcom style game with everyone's favorite space marine chapter fighting the forces of chaos.

Hello, Like most folks drawn to this wonderful relic of a game I was lured in by the warm call of nostalgia - when I was a young dude spending hours and hours hunting Chaos cultists with my squad of Blue Space Marines. Alas, once I purchased this game I was unfortunately reminded that I should trust reviews. The review from 5 years ago expressing that the game does not work on Win 10 device is still quite accurate. Don't buy this game until they patch it if you use Windows 10. It's a shame, I loved this game so much when I was little.
