Yucatan, Mexico – June 07, 2063. A cell of the revolutionary group ‘Los Desplazados’, including their leader Gloria, has gone missing while on operations around the site of the Chicxulub Perpetual Energy Station.

Tenoch Kaan, a Desplazados rebel and reformed agent of the shadowy CIMACORP group, is deployed to find Gloria and her team. Fitted with the latest in biotechnological enhancements, Kaan’s mission is to find the missing Desplazados without alerting CIMACORP to his presence.

Key Features


  • Stay hidden: Avoid detection by hiding in the shadows and staying out of sight. Turn off lights and create dark areas to sneak through. Be careful not to leave footprints.



  • Use sound wisely: Every footstep, surface, weapon and item can make a noise that will attract enemy attention. Stay as silent as possible, or use sound tactically to gain an advantage.

  • Scout mode: Slow the action and assess the lay out of an area with an augmented top-down view of your surroundings. Observe enemy positions and plan your next move.

  • Non-lethal action: Deadly force is not permitted. Instead, use stealth to avoid enemies, or melee attacks and an array of weapons to incapacitate and immobilize them.



  • Tactical tools: Use a variety of non-lethal bullets and explosives. Includes rubber bullets that can be fired at light switches, and a slime explosive used to mute the sound of footsteps.

  • Rescue captives: Find Desplazados members captured by CIMACORP to increase your max health, max batteries (used for armor and to restore health), and to gain key cards (used to access more areas).

  • Difficulty modes: Choose from four scaling levels of challenge. From a forgiving and relaxed stealth experience, all the way to ‘Mexican Extreme’, which wipes your save if an alert is triggered!

Truly awkward stealth game

The demo leaves a very poor impression, sadly. The inspiration from Metal Gear Solid 1 is obvious, but the game manages to be clunkier than its PS1 spiritual predecessor. You get an icon on the screen when enemies are nearby, but no idea of their field of view or even just in which direction they are looking, just their vague whereabouts. No mini-map. To scan the area, you are forced to stand still, everything turns red and black (bad for visibility) and trees still block the top-down view used in this mode (frustratingly limited ability to actually scout around). The enemies also slow down in this mode, which is a negative in many circumstances (it takes forever to study their patterns, this way). The camera is too close to the character, given those limitations, making for terrible "walk 3 steps, stop to scout, rinse and repeat" gameplay. The game has a very loose idea of stealth: you can only be seen if you are under artificial light (and, I presume, if you make noise or bump into enemies). This is TERRIBLE for multiple reasons: in the demo, you are encouraged to hug the invisible walls (often the light doesn't get there), the border between 100% invisible and 100% visible is hard to distinguish until you walk on said border (there is an icon and the model's lighting, but it's really hard to gauge BEFORE crossing between the two detection areas, the icon doesn't have a "you are still invisible but you are getting too close to a light" state). If you hug a wall, you can't move (you need to press a button to hug/unhug). Aiming is like a twin stick shooter but without the right stick (so it's really bad). There is a reason why MGS 1 used left-right to rotate, and left you were you were aiming when you stopped rotating as opposed to point in a direction. First person is a toggle, which once again is bad (you need it to look around, and can't move while using it, so you want the switch to be snappy). Many more issues, but I have no more room in the review.

Performance issues

Unfortunately, this demo suffers from very low framerates even at low settings and resolution, making it unplayable in its current state.

Becoming Selfish Rehased

I wanted to have faith in Antonio but with some new coming out he's openly milking stealth fans with no real improvements/changes in his mechanics being made with each release I can see the rumors speaking true.

I see the inspiration

But I don't see if the lessons were learned from it. I mean the game works, but right from the start there are some weird features like "the camera will act as it pleases, you can control it only in special spots and only in one way" which is annoying and "the enemies are blind and deaf, unless X" which makes no sense. "You are visible only under artificial light" lolwhat? But I can see the character standing tall and very visible. You can not even crouch outside of the "scouting" mode.

Plays like a fun rough draft

The core skeleton of this game is solid; the only main things that need improving are that items are practically useless and many areas are excessively easy to get through with rectangularization (just walk around the edges of the rectangle carefully). I would like to see a more thoughtful diversity of guard checkpoints that actually make the player think critcially while being forced to budget item useage in an artful RPG way.
