This game came with the first computer I bought at a retail store and I played it quite a bit. A friend of mine figured out how to get the carrot ship. It's got simple controls and plenty of upgrades. The soundtrack is pretty good as well.

This game is a lot of fun. The gameplay is quite simple. It's a vertical shooter where you pilot a ship and shoot down enemy ships. Along the way you gain money which you can use to upgrade your ship. Now, I have to admit I...didn't play all that much, but it seems the game is very unbalanced and once you play it for a bit you can pretty much rip straight through the game. Still, for something that's free, it's fantastic.

I rembered this game well so when I sat down to download and play it I thought I knew what I was getting into. I forgot about the addiction. Once you start playing and get into your blasting groove it is very hard to stop.

as most of you already know, there's an open source SDL port of this game. so why download this version? a) you're a idiot with dosbox settings b) you want to play it with midi music except (a) is probably not applicable since most modern machines should run the open source port better or faster than with dosbox. so yeah, download this version if you want to listen to the music in midi and/or you actually want the game to run slower for reasons.
