Tyrian 2000

On one hand the game is really nice and bring out those memories of old shooter but to tell the truth if it was not free I think I would regret buying it because although it is old and should be hard core, from the second chapter your ship is so buffed that, and I am really serious now, I was playing it with a book put on the space (space is the fire button) and just some time evading bullets crashing through the game like a boss practically being invincible. But there are also some nice game mechanics like during some boss fights your view changes from bottom to top and the upgrading of your ship is also really nice but like I said before it's not balanced really good.

Tyrian 2000 is a vertical scrolling shooter (like Galaga) and it is great. The gameplay is fun, the controls are great, the soundtrack is fun to listen to, the ship customization is fun, it is one of the best vertical scrolling shooters I've played. Plus, it's free.

many say the original Tyrian is better? im not sure why, tyrian 2000 improved everything about the original. a funny and well crafted shootem em up for dos!

I played this game a lot of times, never get too tired. The soundtrack is also very good, and you can download it in the "extras" section.
