macOS 10.13 incompatibility
Looking forward to playing this game (I've heard there's a lot to sink your teeth into), but after an exchange with GOG support I found out the game doesn't currently run on macOS 10.13 High Sierra. I have it running without issue so far on another machine with 10.12, but just a word of warning!

Let it show u it's value
*First the bad facts about the game* : -THESE GLITCHES omg , at start really annoying and painful to watch , later on more and more funny cause they dont impact gameplay. F.ex. the killed bodys drop with 3 fps xD -The Dialog acting , not that annoying but far away from good *Things which depending on ur point of view* : - The Graphics , after a little time of playing u should be able to forgive the old fashioned look it got after ages and for me i am enjoing the atmosphere which it creates . Also it should be mentioned the creators had a nice sense of humor , so they took a jpeg as a painting for example . *Finally things about the game which are the reason why i gave it 5 and not 3 or 4 stars , regarding the bad points about the game.* -The gameplay , as an that old game this one is pretty innovativ . The character skilling allows u to create ur char completely how u like him and u are free to point every aspect u want ( f.ex. paladin with stealing ambition, or magician with archer skills) U have 4 attributes health , strength , dexterity and willpower . each level u got five points for these talents and 1 skillpoint to skill ur active or passive skills , there are some other ways to get skillpoints tough. Also the magic system is unique and wonderful , u collect magic cards which are stackable and boostercards which improve the magic cards and are recycleable whenever u want to . This game is much about loot and it makes tons of fun . u are able to improve armor if u have it twice by compining them , there are much bonus effects for items which improve skills and so on. Immersive Alchemy system is fun and well done . u are able to brew talentpoints buffs and much more.one of the best i ve seen so far. fighting is simple but fun and not that easy , enemies dont level but the level of the enemies increases with region , also changing their appearence . *All in all i played a tons of Rpgs and i really recommend Two worlds (1 and 2)*

A real GOG.
This game was supposed to be the "Oblivion killer" in it's day. It wasn't. but it does a lot of things right and has ideas that made it's way into more recent games (like partially moving to a skill based system and simplified stats). But for every good thing I could pick out of this game, there is a bad or wonky element. Performance stinks on modern PCs, with a lot of stutter and particularly in the big cities. But, there is a meaningful difference in the weapon types and the swing arcs and skills. Magic is very limited and dependent on RNG with loot and merchants. But, only some of the enemies level with you which keeps combat interesting. You're forced to mostly play as a fighter with either magic or archery as support. But, the voice acting is over-acted but in a good way (but probably not on purpose!). Poison damage is very overpowered when hit with it. But, the loot system and stacking items and magic to improve them is interesting. There is a good balance of overworld and dungeon exploration, but you won't find caves/dungeons until you're literally on top of them. And so on. It's a good game if you prefer combat and looting to the main or a collection of short stories that you would find in The Elder Scrolls series. The story is passable. I'd pick it up on sale, as youre mileage may vary depending on how strong a fan of this genera you are.

A very good open-world rpg experience
Pay no attention to the griping about the voice acting…it’s not that bad at all…you get used to the ye oldie medievalisms soon enough. The voice acting is infinitely better than Oblivion’s, where the budget was blown on paying for a couple of stars (I thought Bean was unimpressive) and the rest of the NPCs were voiced by half a dozen mediocre voice actors. This game has a very large open world, and it does not scale to the PC so be careful where you wander. Combat is very tactical; I find it excellent. Learn to jump back before an enemy strikes; and use traps to reduce the number of opponents attacking you at one time. I dont use offensive magic much, just the defensive sort, healing and buffs etc, but the game has a very interesting magic system. I mainly use 2-handed swords and bows. Bows to draw enemies into my traps; and swords to fight. There is a large selection of weapons and equipment and interesting mechanics that allow you combine equipment of the same kind to boost stats. In fact the martial equipment and magic and alchemy systems are all enjoyable mini-games of collection and combination in themselves…oh, and shopping…I hope you like shopping. I havent finished the game yet so I can only say that the story and the side quests thus far are fine. In one sense they are standard RPG fare; but as the game unfolds the quest lines reveal the innards of the world to you; and in a way that I prefer…ie show don’t say. And your actions do affect the world. The game runs flawlessly for me; never had a crash or a freeze. There are some oddities here and there. For instance the world is often hilly and as you cross certain altitudes going up or down the sound ambience can suddenly shift in a most awkward and unnatural way. But that’s a very minor quibble in the light of the enthralling and beautifull world created by the designers. I have no hesitation in recommending Two Worlds to all gamers who enjoy being thrown into a wide open sandbox world with lots to do and see; and in which it’s up to you to fight and quest your way into an unfolding world of adventure and intrigue….and shopping.
