Two Point Hospital

I waited for the whole game including all dlcs being on sale. After waiting for several years(?) I now bought it. I did this because I started playing old "Theme Hospital". It was nice back then but I figured out that some games just require reboots. (good reboots) Two Point Hospital seems to me like a clone of the original. The mechanics, the devices etc. everything seems to fit perfectly. I did not finish the game but I already got several hospitals on full stars. Pros: + graphics are very good and details are well done + dlcs add a ton of decoration stuff and some useful addons (you can even have different themes for each room) + micromanagement is on a good level (not too much and not too simple) + a lot of missions with different difficulties + the moderator of the radio is very good (playing it on german) Cons: - there is one bug which is annoying: creating a template requires you to enter a name ... but pressing numbers also open dialogs so you have to close them all the time Funny, I can not find more negative stuff about that game. Get it on sale with all DLCs and you are fine.

It is nice to see that Sega has decided to also sell their games on GoG. Two Point hospital is a nice cartoony hospital simulator - it can be fun. BUT for me the fun ended when the game reminded me every time that there is a DLC to by - a new DLC comming - felt like one every quarter or 1/2 year that rarely added something to the mix for the cost. You can see 11 DLC´s for the hospital and the main is on sale for 75%. Something to get you hook to buy the others at full price. But this kind of game seems to work as they did release a university spin off.

I had a lot of fun during my 140 h of playtime. I enjoyed the goofy and sometimes black humor. The challenge of finding efficient hospital and room layouts as well as the right education of my staff. You just don't have to expect the game to be anywhere near a realistic simulation of a hospital :)

A fun challenging game that you can dip in and out of. It's basically Theme Hospital. If you know how to play that and enjoyed it then you understand this straight away. However, only 3 things I don’t like: Poor new mechanics - I don't like having to fill rooms with all sorts of junk just to increase prestige. That’s a bogus uninteresting mechanic that wasn’t needed. Not too sure “boredom” should have been put in for patients either, it’s a hospital not a theme park. I don’t leave a hospital and forgo treatment in real life because I am bored…. but they do on here. Micromanagement - I wish there was a way after I have set someone, a nurse for example, that I have trained with all the ward management skills,to only work the ward, they would return from their break and kick out the current less qualified nurse that has gone into the ward in their absence. Instead, they just roam the corridor "looking for work" and it increases the micromanagement aspect of the game keeping an eye on staff names and manually moving them in and out of rooms. In big hospitals this becomes just too much. Training - Staff want training but to train them you are taking them away from working so you have to hire more staff to fill in (a problem in Theme Hospital that persists here) that then also want paying and training. Then you potentially end up with more staff than you need once the guys in training are done.
