Wow, this game is just pure magic. Doesn't matter what kind of games you like, just buy it and feel like a kid again.

Beautiful too look at and fun too play.
Switch between Warrior, Wizard and Rogue on the fly. Using each unique character abilities too defeat foes and solve puzzles too progress.

A bad copy of the classic Lost Vikings
Graphics is breathtaking; the music nice; the physics is well done; the story enjoyable; the game not so much. The game is a spiritual successor to Lost Vikings; you control three characters with different abilities and combining their powers you must finishing the levels. Unfortunately the game has far too little puzzles and far too easy. If you actually beat The Lost Vikings everything will seems obvious. Even if you never played it you will hardly ever need more than few seconds to reach the next part of the map. The puzzle are almost ever solved stacking few crates or summoning bridges. The fights are frequent, but fairly boring; beside after a little level-up the Thief is able to fight at least as well as the Knight. So you tend to play with only two characters: Thief for fighting and moving; Wizard to solve puzzles. So the charm of using the special powers together is essentially lost. My verdict is: if you want to scratch your head about how to solve difficult puzzles with the different powers this is not the game for you. But if you just want passing some time relaxed or playing with children it might work well.

And Linux? ctrl_z: - Response
The GOG version _dose_ support Mac OS X, but I can't find out what system version it needs, because they don't list the requirements (or availability) here, or on my shelf. :( I'm reduced to my old 1.5.8 Lion Mini, and wondered if I could play a little Trine while I'm away. : The Linux edition, isn't available on the shelf. I'd happily live boot Linux to play. :|

Vastly overrated
This has no resemblance whatsoever to The Lost Vikings except the side-scrolling view - the "three different characters" thing don't count since you can only use them one at a time here), and absolutely no puzzles to speak of. I think this is mainly due to the fact that you can only have one character on the field at a time, so apart from a couple "physics" (read : stacking) puzzles, nothing in sight. It tries to be at the same time a modern Lost Vikings (three really different entities, the so-called "puzzles") and a modern Prince of Persia (the jump'n'run and combat aspect), and ends up extremely mediocre on both fronts. It's pretty though.
