Tomb Raider I-III Remastered Starring Lara Croft

SO as a TR fan since I was 5, playing almost every version of almost every title (except the legendary "N-Gage" ver.) I can say this is an amazing remaster considering all of the work put into this project. Y'all understand that it was CD's (CRYSTAL DYNAMICS) grubby hands forcing the EULA, and for you PC users it's apparently as a text file you can even delete. WOW LOOK HOW EASY something console users must put up with. And y'all can mod. Hmph 🤦🤷 NOW, as far as the Win10 requirements, for the love of all holy things, it's 2024 and if y'all are STILL trying to use Win7 in this day and age (saw a recent review about that) that's your problem. Win7 is OVER. So either upgrade and quit complaining, or find the fix. And finally, to the rest of the low rated reviews for most of the things people are complaining about, HAVE BEEN FIXED NOW! Many of the water, quicksand and lighting issues were fixed in Update 2. And THEN we were given a OUTFIT SELECT in update 3! (Includes "Vegas" & new "bloody" outfits!) We don't NEED a level select, as the ORIGINAL CHEAT CODES are still present! So why is that necessary?? It's not criticism, it's whining about laziness 🤦🤷 But all of that is not an excuse to bash a hard worked project done by a group of FANS, as the main engine was created by the same guy who built "OpenLara" engine, the web-browser playable TR1! ASPYR hired him and his own team to work on this. So in reality y'all are disrespecting him. That's not cool. SO with all that out, it's an amazing remaster. I got the Deluxe Editions for both PS5 & NSW, AND even got the Nitro Deck+ TR LE for the NSW! Both versions run great, and all 3 updates they did fixed MOST of the issues present. They all play beautifully AND even include the Gold versions! (Something us console users never got) 🙏🎮 SO yeah. Great collection. Evenly priced for what we get. Ignore the general low ratings, not accurate. Thanks Aspyr! 💯

I anxiously awaited this game. Thankfully, I waited for it to go on sale. I bought Tomb Raider for the Sega Saturn all so many years ago, and I'll tell you, THIS IS IT. If you have played ANY tomb raider games post-EIDOS, you have become accustomed to the awesome, smooth controls of the next-gen Lara. This game brings you right back to hell. -No matter which "mode" you choose, the controls are clunky and unresponsive AT BEST. If you have nostalgia for the original Tomb Raider, trust me you will lose it in sheer frustration after 5 minutes into this one. -The game menu defaults to LOAD instead of SAVE. That will cause damage to your sheet rock when you slam a controller through it after reloading a shit stage instead of saving progress. -Whoever thought it was a good idea to use "start" to switch the graphics back to crap mode needs to rethink his future as a game developer. -I'm giving it 2 stars, because this WAS the game I asked for. In all of it's insane frustrating glory. But everyone reading this, PLEASE, just like AVGN said, DON'T be BLINDED BY NOSTALGIA. There is no need to suffer like we did when there was NO OPTION. Now, there are MANY Tomb Raider options that are FAR superior. And PLEASE DON"T WASTE YOUR MONEY on the UPCOMING 4, 5, and 6. Heck, TR6 wasn't even finished. Very disappointed, but it was, after all, my own fault. Damn Nostalgia.

I refunded it...Yes, the modern controls kinda suck bc you can perform half the actions you can with the classic controls which are fine to use...What really kills it is no qol features like a save and load confirmation screen...Like cmon, it can´t be that hard to implement, "modern" gamer or not...I´m sure it would save atleast some people from headache...Also the cutscenes sometimes stutter in video and desync in sound and other times its completely fine...Also is it just me or are the cutscenes worse? Maybe i´m remembering them wrong but i thought you could atleast make out actual facial features of the woman in the beginning of TR 1 instead of pixel mush but thats propably just me lol.
