I was just thinking about this game

and wondering "when gog would release it" of all the watered down "indie" "retro" classic pretenders very few TRUE classic good OLD games get released these days, since roughly 2014. I can review this game as I played the CD-ROM edition long ago. I am guessing 1996. it is an odd combination of time travel and Titanic tour adventure. a point and click about a hasbeen agent who gets a second chance to go back to his youthful hayday aboard the famed Titanic, and must solve events that occurred on the titanic after a WWII explosion hits his apartment(and he gets out of paying rent long over due). now back in 1911, you explore and tour on a "day-to-day" basis, the ship, and all its areas and converse with passengers about odd occurrences. The ship has an open tour that is non interactice or you can play the story and those areas open up and you can explore the many areas, from 1st class, engine room, "Scottland Row" I think that is "3rd class" and so forth for clues and the residences who speak of them to you. I never completed this, only played the first few stages of the story so it will DEFINITELY be going on my "Wish list" for a buy in the near future! for its day: awesome!

Finally

I've been wating forever for this classic game to come to gog. 99/10 Buy It Now! Now if only they'd rerelease RedJack: Renvenge of the Brethren.

One of my childhood favorites

Multiple endings. Entertaining story and characters. Huge ship to explore. Accurate physical recreation of the Titanic. Hilarious digitized animated people. A little educational. It's an espionage adventure, and you're British Secret Service. You're James Bond on the Titanic pretty much. It's unintentionally funny in all the best ways those old games with real actors can be. It actually has a pretty compelling story. At the end it becomes an actual race against time as the sinking plays out in real time(as well as a game like this can simulate). Also you can change history in multiple ways. This game is a hidden gem. Thoroughly entertaining! One of it's greatest strengths was seen as a weakness by reviewers at the time. It's really short. I think like 6 hours. It makes for a better more dynamic story. 6 hours was seen as way too short a game in 1996, but it was exactly what it needed to be. Totally works.

What if the past could be changed?

The RMS Titanic seems a strange and unfortunate place to decide the fate of the modern world, but so it goes. In this point-and-click adventure game, you play as a disgraced British spy who has been given one last chance to right the wrongs of his career and the devastating aftermath those failures created. Aboard the Titanic, you stumble upon a plot being formulated by several different parties, each with their own goals but the general outcome being the same: a World War. As you move about the ship, you must acquaint yourself with its layout, its passengers, and crew, all in the name of intercepting four invaluable items that will change the course of history if not found in time. And that ticking clock comes in the form of the Titanic steaming fatefully towards its own dark destiny. At the time of this game's release, TITANIC: AOoT was something unique... and still is! Very few games use nicely researched history as the backbone of a story, fewer go through the trouble of creating what was at the time the most accurate rendering of the Titanic (and might still be), all while still giving you a generous amount of agency. Goals can be accomplished in various ways, with eight different endings available, determined by your choices and which items you were able to gather. Because of this, the game has a ton of replayability. (I should know, I've been playing it consistenly for over 20 years!) This release by Night Dive is a great package that includes all the extra content that was released post-launch. It has a couple unfortunate bugs: one involving dialogue being cut off (easily fixed, check the forums) and another involving a door to the Boat Deck not sending you to the right spot. Those aside, this is a wonderful game and a true gem of the genre--and a rare treat for Titanic fans or folks who love historical fiction in their games.

Sunken Treasure retrieved!

My first PC game, and what a game to start on. The music, tone and writing in this game are excellent along with cheesy but memorable voice acting! So happy the GOG team finally have this available. A treasure.
