The player takes on a role of a deity from the Slavic mythology-inspired pantheon and as such, controls the fate of a small flock of believers struggling for survival. So I loved the first game. Have it on multiple platforms and unlocked all the achievements. on the ps4 version. I feel this version is a game out of time. It's user interface is something out of the late 90's, but in a good way. It allows for the player to optimize their peoples output. Muti-player with my wife is very fun, although the random seen issues that plagued the first games muti-player are still there. As of 5/17/19 there are still some bugs, but as long as the build is solid I'm fine with that. I think if you loved the first one, you'll love this more. I wish I could sell it better, but it's a niche game. If you like strategy, and risk/reward gambles give it a go.
I've only been introduced to Thea with this 2nd installement and I have to admit I love this game! The concept and mechanics are so unique that it leaves an impression long after you've finished a playthrough and set it aside. At least that was the case with me. The game blends elements of fantasy RPG and strategy in a way I have never seen before. I'm now playing my 2nd playthrough a year after I finished the 1st one and I remembered why I loved it the first time.
Fair warning: if you have never played Thea before, I suggest you watch a tutorial online and see how it's played. Some of the rules that usually apply to most other games (like settling down and starting a village early) don't apply here.
I love the possibility to develop characters, craft equipment and level up all characters. Its turn based, and even combat is turn based. Plenty of choices to be made ....

I've got the game in early access, and it was actually already very well playable half a year ago. Superior to the first installment in almost every way.
The upside is, that the stats of your villagers are now easier to understand (more individuality) and you get to know your party better. The downside here is that the combat therefore becomes more complex and, in my opinion, it is very difficult to plan out an optimal strategy (like i would in thea I). I end up accepting damage more readily.
J’adore ce jeu ! Ça faisait tellement longtemps que je ne m’étais pas autant amusé sur un jeu de stratégie !
Théa 2 est un jeu mixant une carte hexagonale type civilisation, des combats sous la forme d’un jeu de carte assez simple et une histoire racontée sous la forme d’un RPG textuel. Le tout avec un système de craft et de gestion de ressources extrêmement dense et complexe.
Son principal problème réside dans l’absence d’un manuel car l’ensemble est très riche et nécessitera la lecture de divers guides sur internet pour en saisir toutes les susceptibilités. Après plus de 200 heures jeu, je peux toutefois dire que ça vaut largement l’investissement. À l’évidence les développeurs ont mis énormément de soin et d’amour dans ce jeu créant un ensemble d’une richesse et d’une profondeur impressionnante. On ajoute à cela des musiques magnifiques et un lore basé sur la mythologie slave et on obtient un jeu exceptionnel.
Évidemment beaucoup seront rebutés par la complexité des systèmes qui ne sont absolument pas expliqués, le rythme est assez lent, la difficulté plutôt relevée avec des éléments de RNG importants, surtout si on ne sais pas bien exploité les possibilités offertes par le jeu. Et il faut avouer que certains événements aléatoires deviennent un peu répétitifs au fil du temps avec parfois une faible vraisemblance de certains d’entre eux au regard de ce que l’on fait sur la carte.
Donc ce jeu ne plaira pas à tout le monde mais pour ceux qui aiment optimiser un groupe d’aventurier, gérer du craft et des ressources et qui sont prêt à prendre le temps de comprendre comment tout cela fonctionne. Foncez ! Vous ne le regretterez pas !
