Those reviews saying there's no plot don't seem to have read the notes around the game. There's a plot. it's thin, but it's there. The game itself is an interesting one. There's no WASD movement. Instead, you move as in Myst by clicking a location or point of interest to move to. There are a lot of empty areas that function basically as "hallways" to shuttle you from one location of interest to another. Most areas of the game have nothing to see and nothing to interact with. That all aside, the game works just like any classic point and click adventure game. Look at objects of interest, pick up items, combine/use them in various ways to progress. The game itself can be completed in roughly 10 minutes once you know what you're doing. Let this inform your decision as to whether or not it's worth the price. I'd say it's worth no more than a buck, buck and a half maybe. A first playthrough may take you half an hour or more just from missing some easily overlooked items that prevent progression. If it takes an hour for even the most novice adventure game player to complete, I'd be shocked. At the end, it almost feels like this is a prototype or a proof-of-concept for the developers other game, The Whispering Valley and should have been released freely as a demo instead of a stand alone product. By itself it's alright for a quick bit of creepy atmospheric mystery, but don't expect to get your money's worth.

its a good game, if you get it on sale like i did its worth the couple hours of gameplay. I didnt have any of the problems others had with the mouse icon and finding things, but then again i cheated and put the light setting all the way up after getting lost in the cave lol. that part is very creepy indeed. there were some nonintuitive actions like an area that needed to be interacted with but had no mouse indicator. i stumbled on it as i couldnt understand why pathing took me to this area with nothing to do. i found it immersive. the sounds of the wind howling, the whispered snatches of voices all good stuff. my only complaint was the very abrupt end. it would have been better if they named this edition 'prologue' in order to let you know it was unfinished.

I got it for free, so I am not disappointed, but I do not recommend paying for it. The game is very short (and I managed to get still stuck). It is only an introduction to a story, which might be really interesting but is just not there. The atmosphere is good, creepy and dark, but the set ups do not pay off, there is no resolution.

Au début, on voit absolument rien, tout est noir. J'avais peur que ça soit encore un de ses jeux qui pensent qu'il faut qu'on ai aucune visibilité pour faire "genre". Les décors suivant sont mieux. C'est un paysage enneigé de jour. Dieu merci. Il y a très peu de zones à explorer cependant. On peut aller dans trois endroits avec un intérieur et à chaque fois qu'on entre ou sort, on a droit à un temps de chargement vraiment long pour rien(6 secondes pour ma part). Pour ce qui est de la jouabilité, on est un point fixe dans un lieu. On bouge la caméra avec la souris mais impossible de se déplacer librement. On est sur des rails et pour bouger, il faut cliquer sur une icône présente à quelques endroits sur l'écran. Au moins, ça se fait instantanément, cela donne quelque de rapide et de pas contraignant. On passe notre temps à chercher les rares objets ramassables qui font tous partis de la progression. Mon conseil ? Regardez bien dans les lieux fermés, certains ne sont pas évidents à remarquer. Pas de musiques, pas de voix. Juste le vent, le bruit des pas et les portes. J'imagine que c'est fait pour tenter d'installer une ambiance... Ce qui n'est pas concluant pour ma part. Le scénario... Bah écoutez, on voit où ils veulent en venir. Le message d'avertissement quand on lance une partie révèle de toute façon la conclusion. Je suppose que tout a été mis en place pour essayer de faire quelque chose de "dramatique". Quand vous avez terminé (Comptez moins d'une heure), vous êtes invité à acheter le jeu suivant... Ouais... On en est là... Pour ma part, voici mon ressenti : Sans intérêt/20.
