Game is great. Waiting for macOS here.
This game is great on its own way. It is a pity that GOG does not provide a macOS version unlike other sites. This is the only reason why I put 4 stars here.

Good puzzle game, even if not "the best"
If you take Talos on its own merrit, it is a pretty interesting first person puzzle game. However, "on par" or even "above Portal 2" it is not. Reason number one is severe motion sickness. The developer dedicated an entire sub-menu to settings aimed solely at reducing the effect, but fiddle all you want, it won't go away, making it impossible to play for longer stretches of time. The soundtrack, highly praised in other reviews, is your classic elevator music. You are likely to either ignore it, or turn it off rather sooner than later. The game should have made more use of voiceover with too few passages being narrated and many of those passages adding very little of value. The voice acting is great, there is just too little of it. Talos defines its genre as a "philosophical first-person puzzle game". Unfortunately one of its key aspects, namely the "philosophy" part, is flawed in many ways. Its "philosophy" is often restricted to long text messages, at times overly artistic or presented in the style of Wikipedia articles, is not narrated, and rarely drives the story. Second, none of the questions presented as thought-provoking dilemmas are novel, commenting on the obvious at best, and just don't venture beyond a very basic level of understanding that is hardly challenging. Is this simplicity a plus or a minus? You decide. The puzzles itself are equally rather simple and you rarely will get stuck. You are not forced to complete the puzzles in a certain order either, so if one is too difficult for you now, you may come back later or (in some cases) skip it entirely and do another one instead. Graphic quality is decent. Experience high res textures and good performance even on systems with lower specs. The "gold edition" as a bundle provides a first-person puzzle game that - even if it is not a new standard in the genre - comes with a wealth of entertaining puzzles and additional content. If you can get it at a discount, it is well worth its price.
