Description
As if awakening from a deep sleep, you find yourself in a strange, contradictory world of ancient ruins and advanced technology. Tasked by your creator with solving a series of increasingly complex puzzles, you must decide whether to have faith or to ask the difficult questions: Who are you? What is your purpose? And what are you going to do about it?

The Talos Principle: Road to Gehenna follows the narrative of Uriel, Elohim's messenger, as he explores a strange, hidden part of the simulation on a mission of mercy and redemption in an attempt to free the souls of the damned at all costs.
This substantial expansion consists of four episodes that take experienced players through some of the most advanced and challenging puzzles yet. The Talos Principle writers Tom Jubert and Jonas Kyratzes have returned to pen the expansion and show players an entirely different side of Elohim's world through a journey to Gehenna filled with new characters and a new society with its own history and philosophy.
The new Serious DLC replaces the godlike voice of Elohim with completely NEW, rewritten and humorous Serious Sam script.
Serious Sam voice has been recorded by longtime Serious Sam voice actor John J. Dick.
It also includes a new Serious Sam player model for use in The Talos Principle.
The Talos Principle - Bonus Content includes:
• Documentary Video* - Making-Of The Talos Principle video featuring behind-the-scenes footage and exclusive developer interviews with Croteam members. This documentary takes a look at how the game was made.
• Digital Terminal Booklet** - The digital terminal booklet contains over 100 pages of text found in game terminals.
• Box Art** - Includes DVD label and DVD sleeve (front and back), so you can create your own retail The Talos Principle DVD box.

SERIOUSLY!
Since 'Serious Sam', by Croteam, who, also with Devolver, Devoloped THIS game, I have enjoyed their games. I also am not a great fan of Portal, as some have compared it here. I found that too difficult, as I'm mainly a fan of rpg action games. Yet I noticed similarity of the environment for The Talos Principle and Serious Sam 3 in screenshots here; I find Serious Sam to be great up to that point, but Wondered what more could be done than constant fighting that is that series well-deserved trademark. So I took a risk and bought THIS gem; and I'm ENJOYING this puzzle game, and have made some progress, that is ALL a puzzle. So, you know, if you want puzzles, better, I think, than Portal, then I surely recommend THIS game. However, because I don't have too much experience with these, I can not tell whether easy or difficult enough for Others; but for me it's just right: takes some time and Wonderment, "HOW am I supposed to do THIS?" But in time, and as so-far the puzzles are not timed, I've patiently succeeded... And In the version here there's also some influence and reference to the previous series, so one can play as 'Sam'; as I do! Lol. Finally, it is a rather 'otherworldly' game, shades of 'Myst' perhaps in this way... This is just to let others know, but this does not bother me. I don't know where it is going to lead, as I have not yet played this through. But again I am enjoying this, that plays well on my older Win10 i5 16gb, nv1050 4gb, system; I can not confirm otherwise. Is a departure, but another GREAT game from the developers, and I easily give it 5 stars. :-)

The puzzles are good, but...
The base puzzles you have to complete are decent. The bonus stars, however, aren't. They seem to be less puzzle solving and more hide and seek, making sure you explore every single nook and cranny of the worlds, even though most lead to nothing. The levels are too large and represent just a massive area to search with no actual added content, just map size. Honestly, if you plan to do the bonus stars, just use a guide, don't bash your head against the wall trying to decipher esoteric bs or looking for a needle in a haystack.

Great mind bending puzzle game
Really have to think outside the box on this game and even some puzzles can be tackled your own way. At least I think I beat a puzzle in a way that wasn't meant to be but worked.

Absolutely wonderful
I jut recently played the main game as well as the "Road to Gehenna" DLC and I have to say, I really enjoyed the gameplay, the philosophy and the humour. Really, this game reminded me what I like about being a human and how philosophy can be lighthearted fun without loosing any of it's emotional or intellectual depth. And the puzzles are cool
