How to make it run on Windows 10: 1. extracting https://github.com/Tarvis451/ogg-winmm/releases/tag/v1.1 to game's folders + 2. running the game once, prompts a download of directplay from windows, press install. + 3. start the game, start the tutorial/campaign anything and it may say you have no serial number + 4. restart and it works now GAME REVIEW HERE: Game quality: - construction is fun but slow. pressing F12 in single player goes 1 minute into the future which is nice. no option to increase game speed that i'm aware of which ain't that great - goods production logistics is fun to start but has little point beyond a limited quantity: once you have four of each, you can flood the map - tutorial doesn't really go into explaining temples, upgraded units, healer hut, gold production, distribution quotas and all the fancy settler & military menu options, shoveler or pioneer importance, landing pad trading - could've used at least some measure of unit group control aside from ctrl groups which barely function - no idle villager or buttons to find specialists aside from whoever is on screen, a hassle if your base is growing - there really isn't a point in making pigs or bread when you find the distribution menu by clicking on the food icons of mines and making sure they get fish, making a bunch of fishing huts pays off tremendously - archers not firing on units which come out of towers is a bummer - once you build one perfect base, what then? next game is pretty much the same. Bugs or problems: - pathfinding for colliding units like military & ships is horrible. you will find your units going haywire or simply getting stuck - the imperfect shoreline is a deadly trap for unloaded transport ship units, never unload anywhere except on a perfectly straight shore to avoid having units stuck forever - trade ship doesn't seem to function all the time It's a comfy and beautiful game but functionally far below many RTS or Impressions titles.
