almost perfect

the only reason why I did not absolutely love this game is bc of the story plot twist. I love science fiction horror/suspense I just love it, it is my favorite theme in movies and videos games, with that said this game should have had me completely rapped up in its fingers and in many ways it did but when the story plot twist gets revealed it was just not that exiting anymore... or scary or intense it was just meh. CONS: - story plot twist reveal was meh - some misplaced game assets where you could see that rocks where floating above the ground or did not properly connect to other game assets, big rocks where not producing a shadow and so when you where on top of it it would look like your shadow was just floating in the air. PROS: - everything else was perfect and I really enjoyed it - incredible environments, big ones too and very well detailed - good suspense there where some times where I was a little scared and I had to remind myself "this is a walking simulator nothing can hurt you" -multiple endings

It stimulates the mind and awareness.

A game that does not give the feeling of wasted time. It stimulates the mind and awareness. I bought on Steam because I already had the funds there and it came out much cheaper overall. I read the book twice at intervals ... a long time ago. The concepts are exceptional. The whole thing closer to reality, more real and rational than in other si-fi games. Cool game, nice views, lots of interactive puzzles to solve. Definitely not to be bored !!! The map and moving around it is ok, although it is not so perfectly .... but this can also be an element, a kind of hindrance in the game, reflecting the atmosphere of the whole story and running in a suit. There are a few bugs, but overall it doesn't get in the way. Astrogator's voice - like an active, colour-complementary narrator - is a huge complement here. He's with us throughout and we know he's with us, but at the same time he's invisible. There is a tremendous multithreading and a specific mood. There is atmosphere, a sense of dread, difficulty and a lot of ambiguity. There is atmosphere, a sense of dread, difficulty and plenty of ambiguity and more. The pace of the characters is generally very well paced. It keeps our attention on the plot content, the mental rationality and the overall story within it. I'm glad someone took the time to do this at all. It's a nice change from the brainless time eaters .... AND TIME IS ALL WE HAVE !!! What would I change? I would change and accentuate the paradise references for the azure shores, the mood when they first landed on this planet, their hopes for another patch of potential eden where you can breathe and breathe without a helmet. I would change a lot, but it's still good. One note, red giant star - the sun should be two or three times bigger. I highly recommend this interactive book-game.

Fantastic game and story

TLDR: this is a beautiful game The story is excellent and stays true to the hard sci fi genre. The gameplay is pretty original to me. It plays like a first person telltale game, but with very few cutscenes. The most important part for the player is to select the dialogues that best suits them. The dialogues will change some aspects of the story but will not fundamentally alter the main. There are a few very simple puzzles to solve here and there and you get to drive a rover and fly a few drones. The design of the world is atompunk. It feels like actively being part of a 50s/60s sci fi movie, such as Forbidden Planet. The style is consistent and I enjoyed it very much. The planet landscapes are beatifully designed. The level design is as well very well made. The story is set in the same place as The Invincible book and can be considered a prequel to the book. Playing it, in my opinion, will not spoil the book if you want to read it afterwards.

Amazing story, poor optimization

Story, atmpsphere and graphics are absolutely beautiful, but, despite the realism of the sensation of the character's movements, I found difficult to execute many actions like walk or climb rocks, due to obstacles and invisible walls. Furthermore, at a certain poit of the game (reaching the Alliance base), the game start to stutter and lag. Strange behavior, because it runs very smooth since the start, and my system is more powerful than the requirements. Anyway, there are at least 11 endings based on what you do and what you choose to say/decide during the game and the atmosphere is one of the best of all the games I played in my life... And they're really a lot. The game itself lasts a few hours (from 8 to 10) but they're very intense. I recommend it.
