Remove Updates

This game is one of my alltime favourites and it would be perfect if not for the ugly "Skyrim Updates" that pop up on the menu asking me to download mods or the "upgrade". The whole damn reason i downloaded SE was to NOT have to deal with mods and the AE stuff, Bethesda in its endless greed keep pestering us to get the Anniversary Edition to then enter their Creation Club so we can pay for overpriced mods. For the love of god remove the update popups on the Special Edition so i can play VANILLA Skyrim in peace, i dont want to worry about clicking the wrong button and being sent to the Bethesda website everytime i launch the game!

Great game with issues on GOG

Skyrim is an incredible game, and if you just play short sessions(~1 - 2 hours) with no mods you'll be ok buying GOG's version. However if you play long sessions or like to heavily mod the game I recommend avoiding it. The first problem is GOG's latest version (1.6.1179) has a memory leak issue. RAM never gets released, it continues to eat through all VRAM, then your RAM, and eventually crashes. I've tested this with the base game and modded, it happens regardless. This does not happen with Steam's or GOG's rollback version of 1.6.1170. That leads into the second problem with Skyrim on GOG. There's only one rollback version, honestly what's the point of the rollback feature when older working versions just disappear? And while the current rollback version works, many mods don't like it and you'll run into issues.

Legendary

The only game where you can get married, have kids, run a college, become part of the upper echelon of every city, end a war, save the world, suck out the souls of dragons, become one of the greatest thieves of all time, murder the emperor, eat people's hearts as a werewolf, suck their blood as a vampire lord, blot out the sun, ride dragons, and get into drunken bar fights all in one playthrough. 100/100.
