The Dark Eye: Chains of Satinav
Description
In Andergast, whose inhabitants are considered to be notoriously superstitious, King Efferdan awaits a state visit from high-ranking dignitaries. For centuries the kingdom has been at odds with neighboring Nostria, but now first steps are being undertaken toward a lasting peace. But a plague of crows troubles the king, for the birds are acting with unusual aggressiveness, even attacking humans. Moreover, there are those among the citizens of Andergast who swear that the crows are bringing them dark nightmares. As the belligerent creatures infiltrate even the castle itself, the king seeks a skilled bird catcher - an opportunity for young Geron to prove that the reputation for ill luck that has followed him since childhood is undeserved. Following an audience with the king, the prestigious task is assigned to him. However, not only does his task prove unexpectedly difficult, but it also turns out to be the first step of the greatest adventure of his life, which will lead him to the borders of the charted lands of Aventuria and beyond.

Great Time
Love this little gem. Real brain teaser and it does cause you get frustrated at times. Its like a good book tho once you start you just cant stop reading it. I enjoyed the graphics and it was easy to take anwhere I went. It helped pass time when I went on business trips for company and sat in a hotel room after ending my day. It is not graphic intensive and the music is enjoyable to lsiten to. Great job on the story made me want to hurt the villian and save the damsel.

Beaux environnements !
Visuellement, c'est une franche réussite ! Les décors sont très beaux et détaillés en plus d'être variés ! La direction artistique donne du cachet avec le design des personnages ! Je valide ! Hélas, ce beau tableau est gâché par des animations vraiment moyennes ! C'est bien dommage ! Nous incarnons Geron qui est suivi par Nuri. Leur relation fonctionne à merveille même si, il n'y a pas vraiment de surprise. Quelques choix dans les échanges avec les différents PNJ mais qui ne servent à rien : fausse impression de pouvoir agir sur l'histoire. La narration se fait via des dessins lors des transitions entre les zones importes, celles-ci sont bien réalisés ! Les énigmes ne sont pas compliquées et restent "logiques". Même si on est bloqué, on finira par trouver la solution car les possibilités ne sont pas immenses. On est aidé avec une touche qui permet de mettre tous les éléments en surbrillance, du moins en facile. Pour les défauts, j'en ai deux majeurs : - Traduction française pas toujours top avec des erreurs d'interprétation ou d'orthographe. Rien de grave mais quand même ! - Des DIALOGUES qui N’APPARAISSENT PAS : à deux endroits, j'ai eu l'impression d'avoir cassé le jeu : j'étais BLOQUÉ car je pouvais PAS CHOISIR une réplique. On peut vraiment ruiner sa partie ! Je vous encourage à faire plusieurs sauvegardes ! Parlons d'ailleurs du système pour sauvegarder : on charge la partie, tout ce qu'on a fait sur l'écran en cour est réduit à néant. C'est pénible ! Un Point-and-click en Aventurie ? Je dis oui ! J'ai passé un très bon moment !

Grind and not much tp show for it
You are given an idiot hero and a stupid companion and are then forced to take everyting that isn't nailed down and "apply" these items to others. Who would think to apply a hammer to a door to make a plank so that you can rescue your useless companion? And so it goes for every item - some blindingl obvious some of which would require a few quarts of alcohol to stumble upon. Bah humbug!

Average adventure
Techinically, the game plays ok, but it has litte to no relation to the Dark Eye (DSA) role playing world and its atmosphere. Instead, it is like any other fairy tale style adventure. Quite disappointing for DSA enthusiasts.
