The Curse of Monkey Island™

It's here, folks. It's finally here. The best Monkey Island. Yeah you can downvote me into oblivion for that statement and I don't even care. This game IS my childhood.

I really, really, reeeeeaaaaally want to give this 5 stars, but I just can't. Curse of Monkey Island was the only piece of media where the Spanish translation was ACCURATE; it isn't just the quality of the translated script, but also the voice cast and the production value. There just isn't another piece of entertainment that was such carefully and beautifully translated, and they make this release English only! I’m really disappointed in GoG and Disney, two companies that understand and take great care in localization, for denying the opportunity of play it in their native language to all the Spanish-speaking adventure game lovers out there that didn’t have the chance back when it was commercially available. I can’t speak for all the other languages it was originally released in and won’t review the game, because you can tell that if my only complaint is the lack of localization, then the game must be perfect.

It's one of the best games I've ever played. Recommended!

(I rarely see reviews in Japanese but let me see if there are Japanese gamers out there...) Monkey Islandシリーズ最高傑作の本作、ずーっと待っていましたがついに出たか！手描きアニメの美しさと楽しさ、軽やかでメランコリックなBGM、ニヤニヤの止まらないジョークや掛け合い、鮮烈に残る昔プレイしたときの記憶、いやそれ以上に強力です。 カートゥーン風のアニメーションが、印象的なキャラクターたちとのやりとりを鮮やかにしています。Guybrushの表情(声優もバッチリ合ってる)、LeChuckのいきいきした(ゾンビだけど)悪役風味、健気な悪魔ガイコツおじさんMurray。3DCGではあり得ない、手仕事ならではの豊かで細かい表現力に引き込まれっぱなし。 Full Throttleと並んでオールタイム・ベストです。
