The Curse of Monkey Island™

Propably the fastest purchace I´ve ever made. Loved this game back in 1997 and I´ve been dreaming of GOG/Steam bringing it back

This game has had been a fan favourite back in the day and it still is to this day. I enjoyed it very much, soo many items to mess around with, a funny story with lots of hidden references, clever puzzles that makes you check the walkthroughs, wonderful animations, memorable characters and Monkeys! It is refreshing to return to the roots of adventure games and play this classic. I wonder if they will ever re-release Escape from Monkey Island, even though that game is rated least favourite.

I have never play a adventure game that is so funny. Most of the puzzles are so absurd and so funny, you have to think, and think hard, in a very original and particular and absurd way to be able to finish the game. The graphics are brilliant, the best looking Monkey Island game by far. The result is a unforgettable (unfortunately, i wish i could play this game once again for the first time) ultra funny and amazing experience. It is also long, there are 2 levels of difficulty and each level has its own puzzles, you can play it twice (that wont be enough) but it will be amazing each time. Totally recommended.

I played all the Monkey Island games on a PC as a kid. The story of Guybrush Threepwood was just funny and endearing to me but I don't remember the puzzles being so difficult! Maybe they were but my dad was there to help me through them because this time around I had to cheat in a few spots where I could not figure out what to do next! Using walkthroughs is always a bummer but I was able to then cruise through the rest of the game to the end, which did feel a little short coming, but for $10 what do you expect?

This is a very humorous point and click with really beautiful graphics that look like they have been drawn by hand. A few of the puzzles are a bit obscure but that's probably unavoidable. Try to resist the temptation to look up the solutions as you'll be sorry when it's over. For the bargain price it's a no brainer purchase for me.
