The Colonists
Description
The Colonists is a settlement building game inspired by classic titles like The Settlers and the Anno series.
You take control of a team of self-replicating robots who have escaped from Earth and are searching the galaxy for a new home where they can fulfil their dream: to be human.
You'll advance through three different Ages as you build infrastructure for your colony by constructing road, boat and train transport systems.
Harvest natural resources, set up farming and food production, create expeditions to discover new lands and research new technologies.
With two separate mission tracks, The Colonists lets either you create sprawling settlements in peace or race to compete against AI colonies in military winner-takes-all scenarios.

The Colonists is cute and with a stronger campaign, it could have been so much better. Sadly repetitive tasks and some finicky management means that some levels feel more like a chore than a challenge as your robots fumble over themselves.

These little robots, although not perfect, found a way into my heart. With the developers actively listening to their fans, if The Colonists grabs your interest in any way, jump on it. You won't go wrong!

Simple, Cute, Sparse
Aesthetically adorable and simple to play, I found the game a little lacking in content and depth. After you get to the late stage of any level, finishing the scenario become a bit too much of a grind. I really want to love this game, but it feels like it could have used a bit more development. The lack of multiplayer seems especially strange to me.

Copy Pasta, looks better than it tastes.
You probably played this already, but with more depth, and challenge, and some more rational design choices. But if you have not played such settlement style games before this is probably not a bad place to start. If for nothing more than that the other more well fleshed out versions of this genre will be older and so likely less graphically interesting to current audience POVs. But otherwise i can't really say I got anything out of this one, that I ain't already had before in a more robust package. Neither great nor terrible it is basically nothing to bother "writing home about" as the phrase goes.

Feeling Annoyed
UI designed complex, hard to learn and get starting. Also the key assign is annoyed and doesn't support duplicated set. Camera is set to strange angle rather set its posotion when using reset. Disappointed, refunded.
