Pretty simple yet terrifying

Good but awfully slow
The story was very good, the art is good, the music is good, but especially at the beginning I thought the game had hung because nothing was happening.... eventually something would happen.... a lot of very slow walking.... eventually something would happen again.... The game never did hang and the music, dialogue and action seemed to be in sync, but walking around was SO slow. I played it on an oldish little Acer notebook, so maybe that was the problem, but have played lots of other GOG games on this computer that are surely more demanding in terms of memory and the characters could actually trot along in those. ANYWAY, I would give this 5 stars if not for the speed issue, and I wouldn't even want it to be that much faster, as a slow pace helps give it atmosphere and suspense. I really ended up caring about the characters and worrying about the cats. The puzzles aren't really hard but because of the speed at which I was getting around, I did refer to a walkthrough a couple of times just because I wanted to find out what would happen next without staying up all night and missing work the next day.

Histoire interressante, réalisation null
Habituellement je suis indulgent avec les productions indé, j'ai été très agréablement surpris par Trine, Aquaria, World of Goo, etc... Influencé par les avis j'ai acheté ce "jeu" . Or cette narration ne mérite pas le qualificatif de "jeu" il n'est en rien divertissant, et la réalisation est catastrophique, les graphismes plus que d'un autre temps je usis sûr de trouver des jeux plus beau dans les années 1980, l'ergonomie est d'une nullité sans pareil et ce "truc" se vend ??? Si vous voulez vraiment "Jouer" passez votre chemin, il y a des productions avec un discours tout aussi profond mais DIVERTISSANTS au moins ....

A for story, F for execution
It has an amazing story and an amazing script, but oh my god how bad the execution is. I cannot recommend this game, only MAYBE at a sale for like $1. Avoid.

You have to wait for each piece of badly written dialogue to run its course, and by the time is does, it can bore you to death. Music and atmosphere fine, but I'm amazed some find this game fantastic. Seems the game theme is less profound than it presents itself to be.
