For amateur sleuths
Not my usual type of game, but it came reccommended by my father since we have similar tastes. Have to be in the mood for this game, since some of it is a bit convoluted and frustrating.

An interesting game
Note that this also included the two “prequel” DLCs. The game, which I enjoyed greatly, is a puzzle/ detective game. The “explore” section is about gathering clues, motivation and opportunies. The “thinking” section is where you take the clues (in form of words) and reconstruct what happen, who did what and why they did it. Some of the clues you have will be “red herrings”. You can also revisited past chapters to remind you of previous events. I found that I managed to solve the game & DLCs over a period of 26 days (25 hours according to GOG). I only onced used a walkthrough which was right at the end – I really should not play late at night since my brain needs it's sleep. I found myself moving between both sections as solutions started to be fleshed out. The graphics are adequate for the game. I turned the music off – it was interfering with my thinking. No real gripes.

Beautiful mystery puzzle book
It's the kind of game where you're looking at gorgeous art and poking around and just getting that feeling of being a kid interacting with a pop-up book and lifting the flaps and finding secrets, and there's these cute mysteries, and there's all these threads and sometimes the motivations aren't really clear and you're not really sure exactly what's going on but it's a great time -- and then you deduce, largely by process of elimination, who the final killer must be...and then suddenly the entire design of the thing snaps into focus and the entire plan of the thing crystalizes. I laughed. I might have cried. The closest I can compare it to is Ghost Trick. It's that good. I played it over a long weekend, a page at a time in between some work, and I thoguht it was worth every penny. I hope they make so many more.

Fun and challenging. Similar to Return of the Obra Dinn.

If you like investigation games...
... this is THE game. You can only watch to solve the mystery, but everything is connected and you must pay a lot of attention to details and deductions.
