Super souvenir... même plaisir !

J’ai joué à Black Mirror à sa sortie et j’en avais gardé un excellent souvenir. Je viens de le racheter sur GOG, prête à être un peu déçue par toutes ces années d’écart et … pas du tout :) Les + : - une vraie atmosphère dès le début : graphismes, musique, doublage (en anglais pour moi). A peine le jeu est lancé et déjà on est en plein voyage ♥ - une histoire prenante - des dizaines de lieux différents à parcourir (qui se ferment quand on n’en a plus besoin) - tout est logique - très très bonne durée de vie - double clic pour changer de lieu plus rapidement Les - : - comment débloquer la suite de l’histoire quand un personnage nous demande d’attendre/de revenir plus tard… mouai... Heureusement, cela n’arrive que 2 fois. - l’interaction avec un objet passe parfois aussi par le clic droit, clic gauche/droit.. parfois on s’y perd A noter : C’est un jeu vraiment logique. Cela implique que votre inventaire n’est pas un fourre-tout d’objets sans intérêt que vous glanez au hasard. Exemple sans spoil : vous ne ramasserez pas de balai tant que vous n’aurez pas à balayer. Mais, si vous êtes attentifs, vous savez quasiment où en trouver un dès que vous en avez besoin. Ccl : si vous aimez les ‘point and clic’ classiques, ne passez surtout pas à côté de Black Mirror, vous passerez de très bonnes looongues heures de jeu ;)

A very good adventure with some flaws

I had the pleasure finally to play The BM collection. The first game was quite enjoyable. Out of the 3 this one felt the most unique in terms of the way it looks/places you visit. The story was really solid! Puzzles were also really good - something I value very much in adveture games. I'd say nothing too hard but not easy either - I think anyone would be able to beat the puzzles one way or another. Interesting note there were 2 puzzles /that I remember/ that require real life knowledge so you may have to google :) /you won't find any help in the game so don't feel bad/ ! Also a fun fact since the game is so old - the idea of one of these puzzles is no longer "true" and has changed for us in rl. On negative side I have to mention that the game lacks a fast way to save and saving is extremely slow. You can die so you must save from time to time ! Also the way the game works is you often need items that you have to use in different places at different time BUT you cannot pick these items until that time has come - you can interact with them but you cannot take them. Some people may actually get frustrated here because you often have to go back and forth between 2 places over and over again and it is really annnoying. There is also as other reviewers call it - pixel hunting, I cannot deny that. You may get stucked a few times cause of that/ use RIGHT mouse button for special interactions/. Fortunately all these problems are fixed in the second game!

Exciting adventure

It's fascinating how such a small team can develop such a beautiful adventure. I enjoyed it very much. The only thing that was annoying was some superfluous running paths and the repeated searching in places that had already been explored.

An atmospheric, though flawed adventure

The game features a lovely atmosphere and soundtrack. The backgrounds are also lovely. Some puzzles, however, fall into the adventure game logic trap, and the game at times pads time with "return later" moments, where you just burn time by walking between areas. Still, with a guide to hhelp you, the experience is memorable.

Very good, creepy old style adventure

What to love in this game: 1. Rain & walks at night under the rain 4. Cemeteries & morgues 6. Family curses 7. Backgrounds What you'll have bear in this game: 1. Slow pace and slow movement 3. Lack of originality 4. Character models All in all I liked it enough to recommend it to every adventure fan, not to be missed if you like horror adventure games.
