Not up to date with other versions

The Repentance DLC is as of yet still not up to date with the main version of the game (Steam) -- which was last updated more than 9 months ago. This DRM-free version also expectedly does not feature the "Daily Runs", but since there are achievements and unlockables tied to daily runs it's unknown (and assumed impossible) whether you can achieve 100% in the game; the developer never responded in the forums or clarified the situation elsewhere as far as I know. Otherwise, this is Isaac with yet more content and mechanics updates (not always for the best, but you can adjust and avoid items or never touch certain game modes (Greedier) once you unlock what you need from them). So 2.5 stars, rounded upwards. It's very unfortunate when a game release on GOG feels like an afterthought and customers are treated as second-rate.

Great game with lots of replayability

The good: + Awesome game for both casual and hardcore players + Adjustable difficulty settings + Enormous replayability + Runs pretty smooth and has a solid gameplay + Fits well for occasion gaming sessions The bad: - Items effects could be described more detailed ingame

Great DLC

I have been playing for hundreds of hours on afterbirth+ on my nintendo switch, and this is a fun, new upgrade to the game. There are tons(and I mean TONS) of new enemies to fight. There are a lot of brand new items for you to collect and try out. There are some new main characters you can play as. There is also a better co-op mode in the game where instead of playing as babies, you can actually play as the main characters. I noticed that this version of the game is more difficult but I honestly do not mind that. It just adds to the fun. I give this 5 stars, and would definitely say that this dlc is worth buying.

I waited long for this.

I hate Steam and prefered GOG all the time. The problem was that these series were only on Steam and was damn expensive. Now finally it's on GOG, and not only doesn't have DRM, but it's a LOT cheaper!

This is THE best game I've ever played. I hated it when I picked it up, but eventually came to love it. The game gives you so many choices such as planetariums, devil/angel deals, alt paths, and final bosses. You don't have to unlock everything on your own. Just download a 100% savefile on speedrun.com The game version here on GOG is 1.7.8.a The latest version on steam is 1.7.9.b It's 3 patches behind Steam which is not the biggest deal in the world imo. This means your game version is compatible with the majority of the mods out there. Speaking of mods, you can purchase the game on steam, then download all the mods in workshop and refund it XD. I'm running 70+ mods atm and the game runs rock solid. Anyways, after you get used to the game, you should learn how to rig your runs. For example, get used to secret room item pools because its where the most broken items spawn. e.g glitched crown, death certificate, rock bottom etc Watching issac youtubers help a lot if you want to learn the game.
