God-awful Interface

Pretty graphics. God-awful interface. Laggy mouse cursor on an i7 Geforce 950M system (runs smoothly in the menu). Communication from the game to the player is terrible. "John is feeling bad" and then he disappears. Turns out he froze to death while fetching lumber. There is a lack of different game elements tying in together, e.g. I can set the game to run at fast forward but hold a character in place by hovering the mouse cursor over them. The rest of the world keeps running but they are frozen in place. For a game with a hair's breadth between living and dying, that's pretty strange. Monologues are not tied to much in particular. You may think they're trying to tell you something based on what's currently happening, but it's just a timed script. For a much better space disaster experience, try Tharsis. It may just be a dice game, but you'll have more interesting choices to make and your characters won't kill themselves because they don't know that it's not a good idea to freeze to death.

Social Distancing in Space

The game looks promising, but falls flat after the beginning. There's no gameplay, all you do is manage three bars - heat, hunger and health. Difficulty comes from obscure UI which doesn't let you see personnel status bars on main screen. Equipment breaks often and you need to keep sounds on to hear something break, since broken equipment isn't clearly marked on main screen. For some reason, you need to zoom out for that. Once you setup up a system, you just roll that until the end. There are no random events or anything major that changes the routine. Even deadly (-70 C) weather affects things only slightly. You basically just keep frantically scrolling the unnecessarily wide screen back and forth and try to keep your astronauts from killing themselves accidentally. You barely even have time to focus on the story, which comes from depressing monologues the characters utter occasionally. You also get new personnel on random days, from I don't know where, which is a very confusing concept. Ultimately extremely easy game that only masks itself difficult by having unusable UI. Obscure, but uninteresting and fairly typical scifi storyline doesn't raise the quality up at all. Can't recommend this game for anything else, but an hour or two to enjoy the fairly pleasing graphics.

Not too exiting

2 hours of micromanagement clicking here and there. Did not read the story as the game below went on and you need to tell those people when to eat and sleep... you miss one - fatal. Does not seserve the tag simulation or strategy, replayability is zero. It is more like a point and click event - story is barely available. I would rate this game at below 2€.

Deserves more love

This game is quite short (I managed to beat it in two sittings) but the atmosphere is really great. I am someone who really likes a good winter/snow/arctic/cold atmosphere in a game (think of the Metro series, The Long Dark, Lost Planet, Near Death, Frost Punk and Arctico) and this game absolutely nails it. The setting is cold, dreadful and a tad depressing. The gameplay is minimalistic thought, with an an ending which is a bit unsatisfactory (perhaps there are several ending but I am not sure). In summary, buy it if you like a cold snow setting and want a short experience.

Savory

I had bad feelings about it, for the first reviews and my first gameplay. So the game, which has micromanagement of three/four things. But it looks really great and it is sci-fi survival :) - My first gameplay was a disaster, everyone died after few days and I didn't understand what to do - So 1/5 stars! The second time, I tried to explore more about where I am. And? My team is on the one rolling screen, whoa it looks like less complex Kingdom: Classic :) But everyone died after 12 days again. Still 1/5 stars. The third run, OK I know I have to train specialty and do more breaks, now the story beat me to the face and game starts to be a bigger challange. After day 46 everyone died. Now 3/5 stars. Fourth - last run. OK, I know what should I do, and I shouldn´t do anything which is not absolutely necessary. Everyone escaped on day 16! YEAH. So, this game is a little snack, which takes you from 1 to 5 hour of your time, but you will expect what will come next. It is fun, YES, it is repetitive, and yes, it worth its price. So 4/5 stars, thanks it was fine.
