I'm old school enough to enjoy it!

I've sunk a good few hours into this game, and TBH i've enjoyed it, i like the style, the mysteries and the concept. My son and I have done our own challenges, both starting a game at the same time and comparing how we get on, the narrative makes this pretty fun, with each of us in different environs.. i can see negavive posted here, but if you like a sandbox building game, with some surprises thrown in, and you have a few hours to spare, give it a go!

Nice one,but need content

As I already said,this game need content,need balance be polished.I love building strategy games and this one of the best.3 for balance,4 for challenges and 5 for music.Music is the best part of the game.So overall its 4.Maybe with terraforming it will be better.

Mars colony deluxe - ish

Fairly nice looking and sounding strategy game where you build a colony on Mars. The foundation is here - no question. But there are a clear lack of content and buggs and questionable design choices. The game is fairly stable. Personally I have not had any issues at all. It runs on Windows, Mac and Linux ( I run Linux). I find the both the graphics to be perfectly fine. The sound and music is very fitting but it could perhaps be "more" of it. The basic premise is good. Plan and execute a colony on Mars. A number of factors decide the level of difficulty. There are a lot of things you can do to suit your own play style. Mods are supported from the get go. It is early days but I have tried 28 of the best at time of writing. There are however some issues here too even if I personally have not encountered any. Alot more patches and free content as well as DLC are planned and in the works. The devs as well as Paradox are listening and responding. I have no doubts at all all issues will be fixed with reasonable time. I have played well above 30 hours, both with and without mods. I'm happy with my purchase. I like the game even if the lauch was a bit shaky. So in general I recommend the game.

Hasty purchase but I'll give it a chance

Other reviewers have mentioned EULA's. I'm not afraid of a EULA as long as it runs offline. Mods on steam workshop can stay on workshop. If none are on nexusmods then we can make our own. I'm thankful the 'devs' were considerate enough to program a linux version of the game. Thank you. For everyone else who is dissatisfied: https://www.gog.com/game/per_aspera_deluxe_edition this seems like a much more indepth mars simulator, except im not sure about mods or emulation on linux and it's not as pretty. Game Breaks when just getting into it

During game a Dust storm appears and never ends and wrecks your colony and kills all your people. There is nothing you can do except wait to die which makes the game unplayable and not fun. Its a well known bug with the game and they need to fix it. Especially when you look at the high price they're asking for it and all the DLC they constantly crank out to scalp more money.
