I can confirm this game works in Windows 10 it only reqires some work on the user end. Thanks to Robb in the Discusssion forum I found out the GOG version does not auto configure the STConfig Application. You will have to assaign the Directories and set up the configures as well.
Lastly you must install your videocard drivers from the videocard manufacture such as in my case mine is AMD for this game to work properly.
This was was sometimes called the "Starcraft under the sea", but that's a pretty unfair comparison. While it does bear some similarities to Starcraft, it's also very different and offers a unique experience. There's a learning curve to the game has the UI is laid out differently, there's lots of units with specific roles, there's multiple different resources to manage, there's a depth system, and the campaign is actually quite challenging right from the outset. There are three factions, some really nice looking CGI cinematics, pseudo-3D visuals that still hold up (especially if you increase the resolution) and nice features such as not having a unit selection limit, which believe it or not was the exception back then rather than the rule. You even have the ability to trade one resource type for another if you find yourself with an excess of one but not enough of another.
You may need to tweak a few settings to get it running exactly to your liking in Windows 10 but it otherwise runs very well. It's not without a few flaws (for example all of the units in each faction have the same voice clips, making them difficult to differentiate), but the positives substantially outweigh the negatives.

Never heard of the game. Just looking for to pick up something isometric and RTS and this appeared discounted. Putting hours into it since installed it. It is just a gem of old, the level of Fragile Allegiance or Original War. Amazing visuals that stand up the test of time, the gameplay is like a Starcraft, i know back in the day this kind of RTS games where a thing.
It is also atmospheric, the music works very well. If you like RTS, this is a enjoyable jewel.
My brother and I got this game around its release as it released as a budget title. I still own it on CD and play it frequently. If you have the CD version, you will need a Direct X patch to fix color display issues. This is a fantastic StarCraft clone with an incredibly long campaign. It is inventive and was tons of fun to play back in the day, and does a lot of different things compared to RTS games back in the day.
Unfortunately while this was loved by many as a cult classic game the developer didn't last too much longer after its release if I remember right. Still a fantastic, timeless game.
Submarine Titans is a classic RTS. It is different than traditional RTS in the fact that your units are able to sit at one of five elevation levels and you are population capped by your own resources. I picked this game up for $5 in 2001 and fell instantly in love.
The visuals are really nice (for the time), the music is rocking, and it always feels great blowing up submarines. The game comes with 3 factions, the White Sharks, Black Octopi, and the Silicons. There are no good guys per se in the story so playing as any faction is a treat. The White Sharks and Black Octopi are rival factions that hate each other. The White Sharks have very traditional subs, lots of armor, lots of torpedoes. The Black Octopi went for the sci-fi route and equiped laser on most everything. The Silicons are an alien species that happen to crash on the planet during their interstellar travel. They wish to collect enough resources to get off our planet and go home.
The game plays very similar to other RTS of the era except there are no hero classes and no population limit out of the box (you can cap it in skirmish). The game has 4 resources. Metal is used in almost every thing you do. Corium is an element brought by the aliens and allows for some of the more exotic units. Gold is used for research. Air is required for buildings. Managing these resources isn't extensive, however, unlike traditional RTS where your resources are deducted when you click build unit, Submarine Titans allows you to build anything regardless of available resources. That means you can quickly need more mats than you are bringing in and all your production will come to a hault.
The Silicons use different resources and play unique compared to the human factions. They share the need for Corium, but also require Energy for research and Silicon for everything. Structure building is unique since they do not have a builder unit like the human factions. I ran out of space so get the game for a $1 and have a lot of fun
