Terrible
Just a terrible game, I might have got it for free but downloading cost me time. Did not enjoy, 0/5. Just bad, avoid at all costs!

Not a Bad Game But....
I usually don't write reviews, especially for games as old as Styx. I leave this as a sort of warning for any who come after me. I wanted to like Styx, and there is an Okay (B Game) stealth title here. BUT, it has some issues. Now I could talk about mechanics, like Styx sometimes failing to grab ledges or having a vision mode that highlights enemies and interactables...but doesn't do anything about illuminating the environment while you're in the shadows (especially when you're trying to make a jump to a platform or edge that *might* be nearby). I could also talk about the two obligatory Boss battles, where both bosses laser-focus on you unless you use invisibility...but once you drop invisibility they instantly know exactly where you are. But to me the most telling thing about Styx are GOG's metrics. The average achievement progression (which isn't difficult at all) and hours played for this game are 18% and 5h20m (I clocked in at 53%, 18h55m just finishing the campaign with a Gold Stealth-Mercy run). Are players speed running it? The achievements for just finishing the last two missions are considered Uncommon at 19.9% and 17.8%, respectively. Now if all that sounds fine to you, I leave you with one final suggestion: Go look up the ending to Styx. There is a spoiler there so minor (so heavily telegraphed) as to be unnoticeable. If you watch that ending and you're still interested, then I hope that you have an enjoyable experience with the game.
