a game, with hardly any breaks between levels. Full action, a shame it has so little variety of weapons. the boses are the best thing about this game. It's a shame it's so short (approximately 5-6 hours). worth every penny.

It is a great shoote, if you ignore that awful QTE where you have to dodhe bullets and some slight camera issues. Now the title of this review is missleading because this game is not Max Payne in terms of story, this is an over the top action movie story so no deep thoughts here just fun action. Really good game, runs well on Windows 10 and it is without doubt a quality game with fun and precise shooting and solid story. If you want to know what it is like to star in an action movie than you ned to play this game.

Attiré par le concept de base du jeu, "Stranglehold" m'a convaincu ! Le gameplay "Max Payne-like" sert parfaitement l'esprit du cinéma de John WOO, délivrant une super expérience d'action à la 3e personne. La gestion de la mobilité et de ses couvertures est la clé pour venir à bouts de fusillades dantesques, pimentées de quelques courts segments de rail shooter pour remporter des "mexican standoffs" ou exploser des bateaux remplis de trafiquants de drogue ! Les décors détaillés et fournis de mobiliers invitent à semer la destruction ... puis on regrette d'avoir détruit de si beaux endroits (comme le casino ou le niveau final) ! Et justement, Hong-Kong et Chicago offrent une variété de lieux qui nous dépayse Les possibilités avec le décor, et avec les 4 furies sont vertigineuses, au point d'oublier tout ce qui est possible de faire. Points négatifs : -la richesse des décors rend certaines bastons illisibles -seul le thème musical principal du jeu est mémorable. -1 intrigue basique pavée de dialogues génériques -la VF ignore la synchro labiale, ça peut perturber ; malgré un casting de pros du doublage. -les graphismes montrent leur âge (mais c'est du chipotage !) Mais Stranglehold tient la promesse qu'il vous fait, avec un crescendo dans les menaces, les boss, et l'armement qu'on utilise. Si vous cherchez ce type de promesse, vous trouverez votre bonheur avec ce jeu.

Third person shooter where bullet time is the main mechanic, sounds familiar. But unlike certain New York's pill chewing cop, Tequila (yes, that's his last name) can take a lot more punishment and dishes out lead by metric tons, this is pure action with a plot that may as well be a flick from the 90s, A lot of the scenary is destructible with plenty of explosive containers conspicuously placed, objects hanging from ceilings to crush your enemies, you can shoot down rockets and grenades mid air, pretty awesome. I wonder, why is there a cover mechanic?, you don't need cover if your enemies die faster than they can shoot at you. In my opinion the weakest part are the standoffs where you have to be very precise. I'm glad this game exists, and I fully recommend it for third person shooter fans.
