Bad Sequel
I really liked the case in Still Life, and ended up getting Still Life 2 fast, so I could see what we had in store. And in my opinion, Still Life 2 does not deliver. It does not tie the ties form the case in the previous game nicely, and presents a new case that is full of forced situations. I feel the game lacked quite a bit compared with it's predecessor.

Great disappoinment
After finishing the first installment I just couldn't wait to see what happens next. I expected another great investigation placed Los Angeles but it tuned out that Victoria traveled 3200 km just to spend 20 minutes in a hotel room and do some reading. Then she found on the internet who she thinks might be the killer. The suspected person can be very suspiring but even though Victoria has no proof, it looks like it's not important so the story moves on to 2009. Now the proper game starts. The plot brings to mind The Saw movies and the serial killer is just an excuse for random puzzles which point is usually to escape the room. There's a great diversity in locations too. Pretty much everything is set in one house. Game mechanics have been changed too but the changes brought nothing good. There are sequences with time limits which can be pretty annoying because you don't have the time to think about the puzzle so you just rush. Another thing is that the capacity of the inventory is limited so often you have to get back to put down things you carry to pick another item. I wonder what's the point of this when you can still put a ladder in your pocket. It's worth to mention a few words about graphics. The beautiful prerendered locations have been abandoned for fully 3D environment. At some point it's good because the camera can move but on the other side, compared to the prequel it looks just horrible especially that there are 2009 games that look way better than Still Life 2. In conclusion, this is a bad sequel. The ending of the prequel's plot is a joke and the only links between both games are the title and main character. I'm so glad I got this game on a giveaway because if I had paid for Still Life 2 it would be wasted money.

frustrating/disappointing
I played this game for the conclusion of the storyline from Post Mortem and Still Life. I found those games intriging and I expected the same of Still Life 2. I was VERY disappointed when I started the game and the voice actor for Vic was different. The inventory box limits and alternate storage locations and the need for first aid kits were reminiscent of the Elder Scrolls games and I hated that it was included in this game. So much of the game was collecting nonsensical items from the ground and tables, relentless trial and error plus completely illogical solutions that mostly felt like I was randomly clicking on everything in my inventory just to see what happened until something worked. Then there were the timer puzzles. For me, point and click puzzle games shouldn't have life/death timers. I really wish game companies would create sequels and trilogies with similar gameplay styles instead of making every game in the series played in a completely different fashion. I really wouldn't replay this game. I've played the other 2 in the series repeatedly.

Worst. Game. Ever.
I finished this game monthes ago and it still angers me when I think of it. The problem is that the first 75% of the game is not too bad, so it makes it difficult to realize that you should abandon it. Take my advice and avoid this game. It has non of the charm of the first game whatsoever and the ending is mind numbinging annoying.

Lack of style
Lack of suspense, lack of most elements, that made first Still Life enjoyable thriller. The plot is simply boring and the whole concept of typical maniac from C movie makes it even worse. As if it wasn't bad enough, the graphic is dated, locations are ugly and the riddles are mostly based on one of the most irritating inventory I've ever seen in video game. Avoid.
