STAR WARS™: TIE Fighter Special Edition

Is there a 10 star option? Why are you reading this when you could be playing it? Quit reading it and buy it now. This is the best space sim of an era. I played this game for years, downloaded and made custom missions and joined online fleets to compare my scores. Even in this era of super HD games and movie, set piece plots this will always be my favorite game. I couldn't tell you anything about my life for the month after this game came out but I can give you a full story and mission synopsis of this game. The story and audio are amazingly immersive. The flight and combat is smooth and responsive. replaying missions 20 times to get the crazy secret and secondary objectives was like an addiction. It comes with the expansion as well as the original release version on top of the 98 version with textures added which is a plus.

This makes me so happy, tearing through the galaxy again. I spent so many enjoyable hours in this game. Star Wars Supremacy/Rebellion next maybe?

Like it has been said throughout, one of the best Space Sims, one of the best Star Wars Games ever, and among the best PC games ever. It is as smooth and responsive as when I first played it, though I didn't have it until the 98 update. I know a lot of people say play the '94 version for it's MIDI Soundtrack, and while that is a plus, the '98's improved graphics and voicework throughout the game does give it something to consider. Like I said, I first played the '98 update so I am partial to that one, but since both remain well below even 250MB, you could install both and figure out which you like more. Either way, MUST BUY!!!!!
