Uhhhmm...No.
I am a long time PC gamer and ST fan and as such I REALLY wanted to like, if not LOVE this game. I read the reviews, but knowing that there are many people out there that just want to watch the world burn, I chose to ignore them and follow the recommendations of some Steam curators I follow. This was a mistake. I will no longer be following those curators as they clearly have no idea what constitutes even a mediocre space sim, let alone a decent ST game. Hell, the text based Star Trek from 1971 (long time PC gamer, remember?) was better than this. I can only comment on the single player since I have no gamer friends and let me just list two game breakers for me. Read the other 'Not Recommended' reviews for a more comprehensive idea of what to...and not to expect. 1. The laughably labeled 'AI Crew' (too much A and not enough I) can only comprehend one command at a time. So there is no 'Analyze Target' A but 'Avoid Target' B, which needs to be done in EVERY mission I played. So either take the helm yourself and let the moronic 'AI' sit in the chair doing nothing or charge head long into that dangerous anomaly to reach that disabled ship before the star in that sector goes supernova and kills us all to death. There is absolutely ZERO intuitiveness in the 'AI Crew'. Once the helmsman flew directly into the ship we were scanning because I didn't give the 'Full Stop' command, then when we were ready to leave, he just sat there waiting for the 'Full Reverse' command from me before he would line up with the impulse course. *FACEPALM* 2. The first mission for the original NCC-1701 is against the BORG...whatever dude, I'm OUT.

Game is broken, few months after release
7 Months ago i would rate the game with 5 stars. But i dont know what happen, but when i start it to play again, i get massive stuttering issues. FPS are high and no problem, but every animation seems only to work with 5-10FPS. i already own the game and it seems that GoG did nothing to QoL from the CD's so i will not be buying this game and just use my CD's if gog ever does update the games QoL to include controller and 2k/4k screen supporter i'll buy it

This is Absolute Bait and Switch
This kinda shit is criminal, baiting you in with nostalgia at seeing one of your favorite Star Trek games, then switching by giving you a broken product that will endlessly give you D3D Render Creation Errors, no matter what you do, and you'll see they removed the options.cfg file so there is absolutely no way to fix the issue.
